Tuli – Faith Exclusive

Tuli is hard at work on a new skin line called Faith.  She recently released a lovely teaser of it for the opening of her new satellite at The Deck.  It’s only available at this location, and comes in three shades, light, tan, and dark tan.

Tuli - Faith - Exclusive skin

Tuli - Faith - Exclusive skin

Faith is a very pretty skin, with this exclusive version having smokey eyes, and a pale lip I love.  I especially like seeing this very subtle difference in skin tone between these three shades.  Sometimes there is to much of a difference between a light, and tan, here you have tan actually bridging the gap between dark tan and light.   The features are lovely, and the blush leaves a healthy bit of pink in the cheeks.

Tuli - Faith - Body

Tuli - Faith - Body

The body is well defined with good muscle tone, not overly defined, but healthy.  Good shading and highlighting work together with the base skin tone.  The seams are good, and the skins transition well from front to back, and up and down.  I love the placement of the moles here and there on the skin.  While realistic qualities exists, it retains a soft, elegant, look that I think hand painted skin enthusiasts will flock to, while those who go for more realistic effects will admire for being subtle.

This skin is available only at Tuli’s satellite at The Deck.  Shown with Insolence’s panties and bra from her Iris lingerie set in black, and the ultimate bedroom mule from enkythings called Nana in black, and Truth’s Alicia hair in pumpkin.

A Playdate with League

A Playdate With League

A Playdate With League

Sasy and I went out to play and got all dressed up in our finest from League.   Sasy looks hot in the Bella Disastre, click here to read her post on it.  I love Nena Janus’ work, she really is inventive, well done, and multipurpose whether you role play, go for an edgy look, or choose mainstream fashion as your style.   I am wearing a semi new release called Ella.   League is one of those stores its ok to just teleport in and buy whatever the new release is in fat-pack form and go home to see what you got.

League - Ella

League - Ella

Ella is a fun set, consisting of nice layer work which League is well known for.  The textures are finely detailed, the body highlights and shadows realistically done assuring from what ever angle you are seen at is the “good side”.  I love the prim armbands, and the multiple layers to the skirt, and even the cinching around the hems of the blouse. The corset is to die for, I love corsets worn as outerwear.  Ella also comes with an Astrolabe necklace, the perfect accessory with moving parts.

I grabbed everything that came with it including several colors of skirts and stockings, and I love how it works with her Asuka boots.

The Asuka Boots go nicely with many designs in her store, and are worth checking out if you have a boot fetish.  The worn brown leather texture is richly detailed, with a sexy row of buttons running down the sides, finishing off with deadly sharp stiletto heels, and a pointed toe.

The stockings really are a fun addition to your wardrobe.  If you have been paying attention to many blog posts and flickr photos, you will have seen these and other league stockings used to make up many outfits with success.  They work with any style, and come in a number of colors.

I am wearing PixelSalons (PixelDolls) Peppermint (Loose Chignon).  PixelSalon makes these cute hairs in static, with 18 color HUD that come with purchase.  Available for separate purchase is a Streaks HUD, a Fade HUD. I used the Streaks HUD in a reddish tone.  I am wearing steampunk neko ears and tail from Steampowered Nuts,  Thomus Keen is a big maker of industrial steampunk items, which I find work well with some of the clockwork I like.  I think these are great, fully animated the ears turn as if scanning for sounds around you, while your tail which comes in three sizes and is steam powered twitches here and there.  I love them cause to me they are a second set of ears, imagining them actually inputting all sorts of technical data to me from radar, to local stats.  (Hey its my day dream shove it)  They come in two varieties of perms for purchase.  You simply must see his other fun stuff!

To take this shot I used AM Radio’s Miracle HUD, its lovely photo HUD available at The Far Away.  Perfect for shots there, and all over the grid its menu driven easy to use.  I used my VR Library from VR Foundry for posing on location (Xstreet creator listing), and TorridWear for the animation/pose.

Truth & Diversity

Truth & Diversity

Truth & Diversity

The latest release from Truth included all kinds of wonderful!  This Over Nighter bag in Snow Leopard, which comes with hand or shoulder option, and a second, which I will use to move to my left shoulder.  Its a nicely texture over-sized bag, appropriately named.  Comes in a variety of colors, as does this awesome Hipster belt Truth made.  I saw the details on the Hipster belt and bought the fat-pack which includes the belt set to stomach or pelvis attachments, re-size script, and the belt in bronze, night, pewter, steel, and wine.  Shown here in Pewter which I think is my favorite…ok well for today at least, tomorrow it maybe wine.  Truth also released a couple of hair styles one of which is Natasha, shown here in Pumpkin.  A lovely side sweep with scripted hair accessories.  The the hair sticks, come with texture change options on the bead, and stick, and invisible option.  Nice, because this hair would be adorable with a flower right there.    He also released a coat, a dress, and shoes, so check here to see the full release.

I thought the Over Nighter Bag in snow leopard was a perfect match for my Brown Black Motifs Jacket from Elle et Lui.  I love this for its wide tall prim collar, and lovely rolled up prim sleeves, and how its generously unbuttoned.  It allows perfectly for wearing interesting jewelry like Uzuri’s Enkai Necklace, and my Black Denim Cotton Jumpsuit from Armidi Limited.  The tall wide collar on shirts look is a favorite of mine, and loads of stores have them, more colors/textures at Elle et Lui, Aoharu, and eLDee.  I chose Uzuri’s Hasani Bracelet, and Dalya Earrings to round out my accessories, along with my classic Tank Watch from Muse.  My sunglasses are a freebie/dollarbie from Mokoptica.

My boots are my current prize inworld.  I can’t enough of them,  I am kicking myself with them, for not buying a fat pack of them.  I only bought brown and black like a dork, and then let them sit around my inventory for awhile without even trying them on! O.o!  They are the Sochi Boots from Diversity..and I loves them.  They come in a variety of colors, and have a re-size script for fitting.  I love how sharp and pointed the toes and heel points are, with the lovely scrunch ankles, and the little strap on the back that comes down to a nice bit of decoration at the top of the heel. Smexy!

Teal & Plum Mix

Teal & Plum Mix

Teal & Plum Mix

After being on a semi black and white binge recently I had to have some color, LeeZu’s La pequena chaqueta jacket was just what I needed.  It’s a fun jacket full of rich intense color, and texture, with great shaped prim parts to add further dimension.  This deep intense teal went well with Adam n Eve’s Skai boots in Calypso.  Not to overpower the outfit I went with Maitreya’s Jules denim skirt which has this lovely sculpted skirt prim, and belt.  It holds it own in the outfit while still letting the jacket set the tone.

For a touch of added color I pulled out the plum tones in the jacket with  Maitreya’s Slouch Socks, and added more with ETD’s Casual Purse in Eggplant and Orchid.  The purse comes with its own ao, and I am glad I picked up the fat-packs of purses from ETD.  Celestial Studio’s Whitney style hair added more color in the color-changeable headband, while pulling the hair back to show off the collar of the Jacket.  VG Republic’s (yes, still closed, but we are patient) Double Hoop earrings colorchangable in plum were a close enough match, the color was close to the shades of purples already in the jacket.  Redgrave’s Leticia skin in lilac worked lovely too.

I wore my Boot Fixer hud for this post, I have been wearing it more and more and even with short ankle boots and shoes.  Its this neat little hud, very simple to use, wear and turn on.  It corrects any deviation in animations, and poses that distort the line of the foot/ankle area so no matter what shoes or boots you are wearing they always line up perfectly.  Even with regular shoes you wouldn’t think this would be such a problem, but I have noticed it helps too, so now I am wearing it all the time.  It’s $50 on xstreet, and available here.   Sasy turned me onto this gadget, she blogged it here.

Separates Mix

Mixing Seperates

Mixing Separates

One of the easy ways of ensuring you always have something to wear, is sticking to a range of colors you will most likely wear.  Everyone knows the theory of the little black dress, and the value of accessories in basic black.  At some point you may realize that even unintentionally you have acquired  many pieces in a certain range of colors.  I find I will buy in this order:  black, grey, brown, white, with a olive green thrown in if I can get that option.  Thinking about it makes me think its a bit boring, but I think I would rather always have a match then not.  When presented with an affordable fat pack I choose the fat pack, and will sometimes not even buy the item until I can afford it.  Fat packs can be great like this if the designer has a set palette they design with, and bonus if its a palette that works with other stores palettes,  you really get mileage out of its use.

I have these lovely Olimpia pants from LeLutka’s spring line in white.  They feature these billowy prim pant legs that have nice soft look to them.  I find they are suited perfectly to DeLa’s Vivian Blouse in white, which comes with this amazing high collar, and structured prim sleeves, and even a billowy prim back.

Prim parts can be frustrating at first look these days, with the newer Second Life viewers, and the various graphics cards out there, and lets not even go into various glitches.  I find the biggest interference with prim parts these days is the face light.  I know many people have had it with face lights in general due to the fact they are running scripts, too bright, too primmy.  Yes, you can look awesome, but play with your lighting presets, and consider how many people are using presets to make you look good or actually looking at you.  Do you really think you teleport into a sim and those countless green dots on the mini map are all turning their views to admire you, stunningly highlighted in the glow of your face lamp.  Um no, and if they are looking at you its to right click, and Im you about turning your face light off.   (Shhh…Whimsy’s in a 12 step lace light recovery program)  The fastest way to get over your face light addiction is to find yourself knee deep in clothes with prim parts that will discolor under face lights.  Many designers have made clothes suited towards windlight, or taking into consideration people wear lights.  You may find that due to a number of reasons your prim parts are a different color then your outfit.  Double check the edit box on them, for instance, my pants here had a slight grey tint that worked with my face light, but since I no longer wear it I had to remove the tint to have the prim parts match.  You may even need to add a tint in some cases to prim parts.

To make these pants work with this particular shirt I needed to wear a corset, or at least a very wide belt, as the shirt is empire waisted and the pants had a nice finishing prim pant top that was optional.  I was happy to be able to use my Pixel Dolls knit belt on the jacket layer to break up the expanse of white.  Had I wanted to begin mixing in another color this was the perfect opportunity, but I am such a fan of black I had to go with it.   When you wear this many prim parts you need to consider how you are balanced out prim wise with shape, The Boulevard Bag from Paper Couture was a choice I went with due to shape, and texture.  I liked the all over logo design repeat, and the barrel shape.   No doubt you have one of these tucked away in inventory, and with the palette they used spring is a great time to pull them out, specially in pastels.

Sasy Scarborough clued me into these sexy mules called Nana from enkythings when we went out birthday shopping.  She and I discussed at length (poor Gary had to stand in the store and listen-he’s such a trooper) how wonderful these are and specially worn with lingerie.  The texture on them is soft, making it perfect for wearing with soft fabrics, or giving a soften look to your outfit.   I was able to wear my Envy jewelry set from Glamurena with this, it was the first time I had worn it since purchase, and it loved the effect of the long pearls with the high collar of my shirt, and the earrings dangling beyond the ends of my hair.

My hair is Sienna by Aden in Hazel.   Aden recently closed his store after marking down all his hair for sale.  There is still an outlet called Wigs by Aden, but only older styles are there, but worth a look as the Amy Winehouse style and the Spice Girls styles are here among others.  I wore one of the Spice Girls styles in one of my early blog posts here.   This style of hair is great with high collars, and structured shoulder lines.  Many hair stores have similar styles, off hand I can think Aveda, ETD, Armidi,  some curly bobs as seen at Cake, and Detour would work, even the Bang Bang at lamb Ms. Sasy proclaimed that day was all hers so I couldn’t wear it.   I finished off my look with Opal Guardian Moon Cuff from Balderdash, a nicely detailed cuff bracelet, and my LeLutka Sunglasses in white.

Simply Chic

Simply Blog

Simply Blog

Last week while out birthday binge shopping with Sasy,  I found this chic fun dress called Natascha at LeeZu.  I loved it on sight, and have been wearing it most of the week while hunting down the perfect hair for it.  It’s a fun little dress, and so easy to style it chic, or dressy fun depending on the accessories you chose. This dress is fun, it leans to couture, it leans to mod 60′s, but down right great shape.  Prim work all over the top, and sleeves, and short skirt in a all over color with good texture keeps it classic and simple.   Natascha is stylish yet allows you to be the center of attention and not just the dress.  It’s available in a range of colors, and has the top and bottom on shirt/pant and undershirt/underpant layers as an option.

Enkythings’s sexy Cypa boots in Black Alligator was a killer wardrobe addition. (Click here,  and here for Cypa boots pron)  This boot has such vivid amazing texture work,  it’s so sleek and sexy.  There is such a range of textures within the line of Cypa boots you have to see them all.  Worn brown leathers, detailed skins, luscious fun scroll work, you name it its got it, really making for a unique accessory.   DeLa’s JuJu clutch bag in black was the perfect handbag to complement the boot, its a nicely styled clutch, with beautiful texture work and is available in a number of colors.   Essentia’s Medallion Set in gold is where i had fun with this.  It’s a set of bracelets, and earrings that have me wearing them often.  I love the tiered work of medallions on the earrings.  The set is available in gold, and silver.   I have been tinting the silver set to match outfits easily and add a cute pop of color.

It’s taken a week of going through my inventory and stores to find the one hair I love with this outfit, and today I was pleased to log on and find a new release at ETD and it was perfect!   The Felicity at first look appeared to be a lovely casual hair.  Upon wearing it i was delighted to discover its downright sexy chic.  It sweep over and to the side, with good volume and height in a soft sex kitten way.  To top it off its got hair pins securing the hairs at the top.  I have gone nuts over hair pinned hair as of late so this was something that made me smile when I changed from the Chestnut shade to the Blonde shade in the Naturals Pack 1.  BTW  ELIKA is DA BOMB for offering Naturals Packs. Just Sayin’.

SWA Lelutka Uzuri Maitreya Mix

Today is my birthday!  YAY ME! :)  Last year my birthday party crashed the grid, screwed it up for days.  Do we know how to party or what?  But this year, I am showing mercy…giggles..and don’t have a birthday party planned, well I didn’t last year either, Luicee Babii and my friends threw me a surprise one.  This year, I am just hanging out, I think, and I treated myself to a few goodies…well a fatpack of goodies..the Maitreya Frenzy Bananas, some poses from Flowey, some…ok we could be a while so I will just hurry up and blog .  :)  Do I love me or what?  :)

Mix

Mix

So, for an afternoon of shopping, and hunts, I have put together some fun pieces.  It’s a very casual look, that still stylish enough for a birthday happy hour with friends.

SWA makes these great RuffleTops, that come in a wide range of colors. The detail on them is great, with attention to the back with a corseted look. I mixed the RuffleTop in Crimson from SecondWave Apparel (SWA), with this great knee length denim skirt from Lelutka.  I think denims skirts are in, and not just hot but hotter if you can wear them in longer lengths. Sasy Scarborough of Sasy Pants, recently blogged another denim skirt here.

My new Frenzy Banana mules in Sangria from Maitreya bring the color downward rounding out the look.  I love these, and can’t wait to get the similarly designed Frenzy shoes from Maitreya, which feature a variation in heel.

A variety of jewelry made by Bella Bombast of Uzuri keeps the tone stylish, and brings out more reds, and browns, specially in my Chicoco belt.  Chicoco is this cute Japanese store full of accessories I came across while shopping in a Japanese sim. They now have an outlet at Floyd.  I picked up some white tones of the belt with my Lelutka Sack Bag in white, which comes with an ao, and has these lovely details that match my overall palette.

I love my Mojo skins, so I had to wear the Ruby, Laura Leandros does these amazing full lips, and i am partial to the bikini wax.  Grab demos for peeks.   I chose Piper from Maitreya in Ginger for my hairstyle.  I love the bobby-pins, its a great pony tail that is casual yet can dress upwards nicely.

Money Honey

Beautiful Dirty Rich

Beautiful Dirty Rich

While hopping grabbing eggs on The Bunny Hop Hunt, I found myself at Cutie Honey.  This cute colorful store is filled with goodies, from trees to fashion.  I waited 4 hours at the lucky chair for a W for a Money Honey Carpet.  This cute carpet is a pile of American hundred dollar bills, with a stack of them on the side.  It features 5 animations, and on/off money particles.  It’s my favorite rug, and I am sticking it in my dressing room.  :)

Money Money Money

Money Money Money

Well, since I had a pile of money you know I had dress up like Lady Gaga from her Beautiful Dirty Rich video, so I threw on this great one piece called JeweLeah from Bijou.  I am not sure if it’s still available, I know it was a gift around Christmas.   The hoodie comes with a great blonde hairstyle built in but I took out the hair and wore it with a heavily modded Loelle in platinum from Maitreya.

My glasses are some of my favorites, from PrimOptic, the Globe2.  These are color-changeable, and are worth picking up a demo of.   I finished off with accessories from Cutie Honey’s Money Honey Dress set, the Money Cigar, and Money Fan.

While there I also picked up Cutie Honey’s Money Honey Dress Set, I had to have it.  It features this cute little dress of hundred dollar bills, with accessories to match.  A Money Cigar, with particle smoke; a cute little top hat with money bow; and two styles of animated Money Fans that really fan, and expand from a stack of bills to a splayed fan of cash.   The Hunt is still on, so stop by Cutie Honey, the designer is full of creative energy that is displayed in her variety of items.

Grey Goo Fashion

Smooth like..grey goo

Smooth like..grey goo

Today the lovely and talented Tigerlily Koi of Calla dropped the most delicious hair on me  This is revolutionary hair!  Called the Chicane Flower.  I am wearing it in Golden Red, or um..black…or it was the blonde, yeah the blonde.  As you can see Tigerlily is an incredible hair designer.  She has made this lovely half up half down hair style, that is perfect for most occasions,  Second Life is a busy place so having a good hair like this works with casual and formal wear, and what I like best is the texture.  Most of the time we spend all our time shopping, and dressing for an event, and what happens, you get there and someone says “edit appearance”. Yes, you have spend a week shopping to look like a little fart cloud.  So you edit appearance and Wowsa, you look hot, well your silhouette does, as the sim is full to capacity, and there are people whirling around you, and a a millions scripts running, and you’re holding on for your life so you don’t miss the part.  Why bother at all sometimes we ask ourselves.  Well let me tell you a secret I have long known–Grey Goo is the new black.  I love grey so much, that this is the hair for me.  No longer will I have to mix and match and hope my shade matches other grey goo, while still wearing a hair that says Golden Red, or black, or maybe blonde.   Tigerlily has created lovely flow with the flexi parts, its very feminine.  The up part of the hairstyle has the most lovely shapes, similar to unrezzed sculpties yet better!  They actually provide you will perfect all over skull coverage.  If you are looking for an amazing hair for your next event-THIS ONE IS IT!!!

Yes…I got Punk’d by Tigerlily Koi! :)

TP to Calla cause you know if her shiz looks this good like this,  imagine it..rezzed.    <3 Tigerlily
