The Hair Fair committee is pleased to announce it’s annual photo contest! This is a very popular part of the Hair Fair event that we run every year and it’s the perfect place to show off your favorite hair and your incredible creativity! For a full list of rules please see the Flickr Group. The group is open for joining now and uploads are enabled. Thank you to the amazing designers who have generously donated prizes this year, you blow us away every year! Pose Fair 2012

Pose Fair 2012 opened April 15th, and runs through April 30th, 2012.  Plenty of time to visit the 120 stores that are participating.  Two sims full of favorites, and I’m sure you will still find a few ‘new to you’ places!  The regions are arranged  with a variety of stores and family oriented stores on POSE FAIR NORTH, and more mature and adult content stores on POSE FAIR SOUTH.  For a listing of stores, and slurls check out the Pose Fair 2012 post here.

Pose Fair 2012 also is having a Photography Competition on Flickr, with judging taking place on May 2nd.  Featuring prizes of $15,000L for First Place, $10,000L for Second Place, and $5,000L for Third Place!

It is time for our Second Hair Fair 2011 Photo Contest. When this years build was created, it was always the intention of the committee to make it as photogenic as possible. We invited aDORKable Poses to join us once again in this endeavour. This year they have exceeded our expectations, and the sims are really fun to be at.

Many have already taken such incredible pictures of the builds, we want to step that up into a mix of Hair Fairs latest releases, you and the pose oppurtunities available. This contest starts NOW and will end on the day after Hair Fair officially closes – which is the 16th of July at midnight.

The photo you enter must have you – or someone granting you permission to take their pic – in the photo with NEW Hair Fair 2011 hair on. Posed on one of the aDORKable poseballs set up at the fair, with the prop and/or fairground in the background. The hair must be recognisable as Hair Fair 2011 hair, and the pose must also be recognisable as one at the event. So be careful when cropping your pictures.

You will find all the rules on the flickr group page, but please please make sure you tag the photos and put the description in as asked. Failure to do so will void your entry, and that makes us cry.

Bandana Day is July 15th, the last day of the fair, the day we take off our hair, wear a bandana to show our support to those effect by hair loss because of illness.

Elikatira released three cute hairstyles at Hair Fair 2011.  This one is With shown here in Brown 04, a lovely updo with whisps, and a color change headband.  I love it how respectable it looks with Ivalde’s Laryn dress. Finished off with this perfect set of pearls from Alienbear (zomg the set was $20 on slmarketplace true story), I am ready for a tea dance.

Hair Fair 2011 – Shagtastic

I put this outfit together a while ago, but recently updated it with Sway’s beach bag.  I’m wearing skin and eye gifts available from Ploom and Digital Eyes at Hair Fair.  Shag has released two women’s styles at Hair Fair 2011, this one is Bombshell, which I love! It’s a great layered angled bob. Super tousled, good structure.  I’m also wearing a release from the beginning of summer from DeLa, a cute open cardigan, with color change buttons, over a great one piece dress from E! in navy.  These shoes from Slink are a dream to tint, and fun to wear.  While at the fair I noticed this jewelry set in an ad for hair at SugarsmacK, and rushed right over to get it at Indy&Co.   It’s available in a variety of colors, and features the necklace and earrings to match.

This dress was a surprise to find at Nylon Outfitters, I totally didn’t expect to find it, as I usually associate them with more casual wear.  It’s cute, and totally ready for a party, which I thought was perfect with Shag’s other women’s hair from Hair Fair. I feel somewhere in between Holly Golightly and Romy and Michel.  I love the height of it, and that it stills is long.

Now through the end of 19th of June you can upload 8 pictures featuring hair in some way. The theme of the event is Seasons, and we hope that gives people some fun and exciting challenges. The prizes as every year are awesome, and the 3 main winners and 7 runners up will get access to Hair Fair 2011 a day early, as well as their pictures displayed at the fair.
