Beach Bound

My Attic opened yesterday, the April 2013 session has 24 stores participating! I’m wearing a bandeau top and maxi skirt from ‘a new to me’ store called Lacuna, which is currently available at My Attic. Both pieces are mesh, and come in a very wide range of colors. The skirt is hugs nicely, and I love the stripes, and the angle they hit at for maximum figure flattering. The range of colors the stripes come in is nicely done, perfect for summer!  My hair is Erika from Wasabi Pills, a new mesh hairstyle available at Fantasy Faire 2013. It’s long and I love the bit pulled back behind the ear. I’m wearing the Coral Jewelry Set in Gold from Handverk. It’s mesh and available in a variety of colors. I love the attention to detail, and how many small little bits are in detail on it. My skin is a new skin available at Adam n Eve, called Patrice shown here in T2, I’ve matched my hands and feet with Adam n Eve’s Skin Applier hud, available as separate purchases at their store.

Since I am beach bound, I am barefooting it in my updated version of SLink’s Mesh Feet. SLink recently updated their hands and feet to include an Avatar Enhancement edition, that allows you to accurately texture them to match your skin, if your skin designer has made appliers; check their stores, or send them a notecard requesting this addition. I’m wearing nail polish on both the hands and the feet from Flair. It’s the butterscotch polish from Set 22. The new Slink Avatar Enhancement hands and feet give you so much more now, between applying the exact skin, to adjustable nail length and shape, and even stockings!

My Attic’s April session runs through to April 30th. The theme for this session is ‘Change’ and the designers, and guest designers participating have created beautiful items based on what that theme means to them. Adam n Eve @ Skin Fair 2013

Adam n Eve has these three skins out at Skin Fair 2013. With Adam n Eve skins you always know you are getting a nicely toned skin, with good attention to details, and shading. Bethany is shown here in tone three, and features a special tattoo layer for a bare inner eyelid. This allows you to either soften your eye makeup, or add another layer over for brightness without darkening that layer. Also included are blonde, red, and dark eyebrows on tattoo layer, and hair bases in pale blonde, brown, red, and black. A-Line Girls

Sasy and I have created two cute looks with the new mesh A-Line skirts from DCNY and Damask Sweaters from The Secret Store. We went in different directions with colors, and accessories, creating unique, soft, cute looks. The Secret Store’s Damask Sweater is currently available at Collabor88, and DCNY’s A-Line Skirts are currently at My Attic. I went with the Salmon Toast colored sweater with the Poppy Blush skirt, I picked up the greens with the apple colored new shoes from Maitreya called Liaison. They’re located in the Maitreya Gold store at Maitreya, and are mesh. They feature short leg warmer options in a variety of colors, straps on/off. My hair is Mosch from Ploom, is mesh with color change headscarf. It’s also at the My Attic event. I’m wearing the Garden makeup of my new Meghan skin from Adam n Eve. It’s a soft, fresh look. Ten to Twenty

I’m  really excited as this should be my first post on the Style Academy feed, check out their flickr group, for more yummy photos. Maitreya released the Milia Sweater Dress, and Suave Shoes this week.  This mesh dress is super comfortable looking, well textured, and fits nicely.  It’s available in 16 colors! It looks great on it’s own, or layered over jeans, sweats, leggings, and stockings.  The Suave shoes are super sexy, with many heel options, and a sock option as shown here. It’s available in the Maitreya Gold section of Maitreya.  I’ve added Maxi Gossamer Jewelry’s latest release – Santa Fe, new at FaMeshed.  This jewelry features menu driven texture change options on the disc, triangles, and cording.  My skin is a new release from Adam N Eve.  It’s Disa, in T4.  Disa comes in a variety of makeups, with blonde and red eyebow layers, cleavage enhancer, and de-enhancer, and dimples (worn). Hair Fair 2012 – Clawtooth

Bubbles Clawtooth released four long hair styles at Hair Fair 2012.  I’ve been so busy for such a long time, I haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy some Clawtooth hair even though Bubbles is very active in releasing hairs. Shame on me, cause I love Clawtooth, and apparently I have really been missing out.  So while I help organize and build Hair Fair, depriving myself in the process of hair, it makes it all worth it’s still exciting for me.  The release included 2 long loose hairstyles, one featuring a lovely victory type curl/swoop, and 2 braids that were whispy about the face.

Maitreya – Resort 2012

Maitreya just released a variety of goodies today that can only be defined as awesome resort wear!  Before I even get started let me share that Maitreya has added a extra size in their current range of sizes.  They’ve been using Standard Sizing, but have now added to these S+ (Small +).  This size is based on the Standard Size Small, with a little more room around the breasts.

I’m all about these Flair Jeans, cause I love them to bits.  They feature the usual range of denim washes, but it’s the shape and level of detail that make them stand out. If you don’t have curves, boom now you do!  The attention to detail is incredibly high, you will wish to have these in real life. They include two version, one for wearing I flat shoes, and another for wearing with high heels. Mignon is a mesh dress that is flattering to the curves, it oozes sex appeal for the summer. Beautiful draped, with chunky wood neck tie, it’s available in a range of striped, and flower prints this is a very versatile dress.  Wear as a casual to dressy casual beach cover-up, or turn it into a beautiful resort dress with a pair of sexy heels.  Layer over system clothing, and if you play your sliders right you can even layer this over other mesh pants, and leggings.  Mignon comes with alpha layers, and textured layer glitch pants. The Mignon dress is going to be hot this summer!

Maitreya’s Cupio top is is a mesh sleeveless casual top with beaded halter straps. It’s available in a wide variety of patterns and colors, and can easily be dressed up.  Siobhan is this lovely loose mesh hat hair. Featuring a HUD to color change the hat, and the hatband. Dress this up or down, is perfect for summer. Maitreya’s mesh Shopper bags I would love to have in real life at the moment, they seem perfect for stuffing my iPad, and everything else I can’t seem to live without with room to spare.  The soft suede texture is well done, and features a wide range of colors.

Culture Shock 2012 – June in Zuma Hills

Culture Shock 2012 has opened, and is jam-packed with 180+ stores!  This event runs through May 26th, 2012.  This is a Chic Management charity event benefiting Médecins Sans Frontières with stores donating 50%-100% of sales of a selected item.  Check out the Culture Shock Blog for more information, and a list of stores, as well as Médecins Sans Frontières for more information about this organization, and the events sponsor – Modavia Fashion.    Teleport to Culture Shock 2012

I’m wearing a mesh dress from Celoe, which is available at Culture Shock 2012.  It’s a lovely mesh frock available in a number of fashionable trendy colors. I particularly like the silkiness of the fabric, and the lovely gathered bodice. I’m wearing Adam n Eve‘s Amaris skin, in natural with the provided small freckles optional layer. and SLink‘s Sarah hair in caramel, another mesh item.  I have contrasted against the turquoise shade with accessories with warmer tones, like Zaara‘s Balini Necklace in Carnelian-Cyan, her Kashiti Bobble ring, and clutch purse from DeLa in Orange, Ison‘s color block pumps in a warm cognac, and Izzie’s latest release – Spring/Summer 2012 Classic Nails in Tangerine.  Izzie’s is also participating in culture shock, check out her booth there, to see cute tri-color tops she has.

I am so over the moon with these nails, as I was having a problem finding just the right shade of nails to compliment and contrast with much of my newer purchases this season, so I approached Izzie Button to consider adding them. They are exactly what I was looking for! I’m completely excited about fashion this year do to the plentiful offerings by many designers featuring the 2012 Pantone color trends.  Seriously I am in heaven, and never have been more excited to hit the stores, and get dressed.  They have me happily wearing orange.  I’m in shock.

My location photo was taken just outside the Zuma Hills prefab from Trompe Loeil available at Culture Shock 2012, This modern, open plan home is made of mesh, and features a lovely pool, many built in features like fireplaces, art, kitchen, lighting, and cypress outside the front entrance. Also shown in my photo are Trompe Loeil’s Zuma Hills barstools in the kitchen area, and couch, chairs, and plants in the living room area.  I’ve used aDORKable poses for this pose, but not the specific ones they have available at Culture Shock, I plan on using these for another post, be sure to check out their booth there.

Camille

A new session of Collabor88 just started, and is cutely themed in “French New Wave” a fusion of Mod and romantic leanings. I picked up this cute outfit called Camille from Tres Blah there.  It’s a lovely bulky cable knit jumper/sweater, and skirt outfit done in mesh.  It’s all one piece, and is available in a number of colors/patterns. Shown here is pale pink, which is a lovely light peach/salmon pink/sakura pink jumper/sweater with white floral skirt.  I picked up the greens in the floral skirt with my Long Scarf, and Moxie shoes both from Maitreya. The scarf is available in a number of colors, and is made of sculpts, and flexi prims that move with you.  The Moxie’s are a fun shoe featuring many options from 2 styles of over the knee socks in a number of colors, and even a shorter sock add on, textures, and shoes are menu color change.  I accessorized with a bag from the latest mesh release from R.icielli.  The Yuse bag comes in a wide variety of colors, and is laden with detail, which I like.  I also like that it is available in so many many colors just as is the rest of their collection of bags, and clothing, I seriously want it all.  Another new release I am wearing is the Trend hair from LeLutka, a soft mesh style that drapes over one shoulder.  I loved the look of this hair, as I did with all three new hair styles they just released so much I had to snag them in my usual Light Brunette pack and another in Light Blonde.  I also purchased this cute ring at Collabor88 from Whippet & Buck, it’s non rigged mesh so you can mod, and available in a variety of colors in one pack.  I shot my shadow photo at Mayfair, an incredible mesh build done by the Celoe team, featuring main stores for Celoe, and Mon Tissu. Somewhere between Driftwood and Bellflower

After a long day of working on Hair Fair 2012 details, I had so much fun getting dressed today with a variety of new and old pieces.  R.icielli just released a collection of mesh items.  Handbags, jumpsuits, skirts, and tops in a large variety of colors.  You have to see the high-waist leather skirts!  Here I have paired one of their minitops in Pearl with a new skirt from Boom available at Collabor88.  The top is made for high-waisted skirts available in the collection, and I think for many of my high-waisted bottoms it should work well.  I was even able to wear it with this cute skirt from Boom, by also using my League vintage chiffon belt.  I heavily layered 3 necklaces, by starting with my most recent purchase of the Agate Slice Necklace from Yummy, which I also picked up at Collabor88.  It’s a chunky pendant on a thin long chain, and I loved the added gems.  I’ve been all over the place shopping this weekend, from Collabor88 to the new releases at The Dressing Room Blue where I picked up this cute hairstyle called Paige from Exile.

Spring Fashion 2012

Spring is when we store away our heavy winter clothing, abandon the dark colors, embracing color, and light. I’ve put a spring outfit together utilizing the 2012 hot color trend of tangerine, offset with another 2012 trendy color shade of blue/green that fluctuates between teal, and jade.

Amaris

Adam n Eve recently released a new skin called Amaris.  As always with Adam n Eve skins, it’s well done with beautiful details.  Shown here is Natural skin tone, a light tone but creamy light tone.  Featuring twelve different makeups that include Bare, manicures, pedicures, cleavage ‘dehancers’, enhancers, eyebrows, and freckles.  Each skin also has a ‘bewb’ option for an extra layer of omph, and four hair bases.  The makeups were pretty, from soft heathery tones, to a bright scarlet lipstick. This skin is available at Adam n Eve.

Shown is new lingerie from Fishy Strawberry featured at the Crush On You Event.  Incanto in black, and Desiderio in Nude.  Each style has many layer options, and was well thought out, featuring garters, stockings etc. The Desiderio is very vintage with higher waist panties, also included is a Brazilian panty option. It’s available in a range of soft muted tones.

Exile has debuted mesh hair called Domino at the Crush On You Event!  This is a lovely soft style, perfect for Valentines Day.  Demo is available and the full range of his hair shades on sight.

The Back To Black Event 2012 – Strength

The Back To Black event starts February 11th through February 29th and is brought to you by Chic Management.  This event is to promote mental health awareness and is themed around inspirational themes; like Love, Strength, Family, Friendship, etc.  I chose two items from Strength for this post, perception is that you either have it or don’t.  The truth is you cultivate it, and exercise it like a muscle, it’s something you’ve had all along.

Izzie’s has made these cute leisure sets that come in three colors, with choice of coordinating drawstring cording. I like how comfortable they look, specially while doing some yoga.   Elefantu‘s Yoga Studio is a fun item featured.  It’s a full yoga studio, that comes with a surround sphere so you get the full effect of being out and about at the studio. It’s decorated with yoga mats for you and your yoga buddies, relaxing candles, water cooler, and other decor. Each yoga mat comes with menu driven yoga animations.

For this post I am also wearing new hair from Ploom, and new skin from Adam n Eve.  I love this long pony tail, and how it’s divided over the shoulder and down the back.  Amaris is a beautiful skin I plan to show more indepth in another post.  I went with a natural look for this with the Fraiche.  Included are matching manicures and pedicures on layers, chest enhancers and ‘dehancers’, hair bases in Black, Brown, Pale Blond, and Red. Freckles, and eyebrows in Blond, Brown and Red.

Skin and Shape Expo 2011 – Adam N Eve

Adam n Eve’s release for Skin and Shape Expo 2011, is this very nicely made Dany, shown here in Sunkissed tone.  Sachi Vixen, the skin creator at Adam n Eve is well known for putting together a finely detailed skin.  For those in love with Viewer 2, this skin is your dream skin, with the majority of the customization left to layer work such has brows, brow & pubic, pubic, lipstick, and eye shadows.  The base skin comes with an enhanced cleavage option version.  Also available on sock and glove layer are manicures, pedicures, which she also combines on a v2 layer.  Photos below show 2 eye shadows, with 2 lipsticks.

The Skin and Shape Expo runs through the 20th. Featuring both skin and shape makers, this is the place to come to to create a whole new you. More than 60 creators in total, spread out over 2 sims, should make a pleasant shopping experience. Each creator has an item out with 50% of the proceeds going to Direct Relief International.

If you are looking for some great deals this season, and think you missed them all, check out the With Love Hunt that’s ongoing until December 17th.  All items in the hunt are offered for $10L each.   You will have to hunt for them at each location, starting location is at Le Cirque, for hints, and more info join the group.   This Tartan HighWaist Sweater/Dress is from Peqe, and is their With Love Hunt Item.  The plaid and cut is fun, wintery, and stylish.  I loved pairing this with my Ruffled MiniSkirt from Luck, Inc, and the fishnet leggings from a dress from Osakki, mix in the latest release in shoes from Maitreya Gold.  These shoes are full of options, bonus if you buy a fatpack you can get a wider variety of sock colors.  All sock style options of Over the knee, short, and layered included with purchase.  The Paper Couture earrings, and Modern Gypsy’s Studded Leather bag complete the look.  The bag was on full bright, I unchecked the full bright, and added a light grey tint to soften the effect of the studs. Don’t be afraid to mod an item if it’s an option, I could have easily enhanced this look by tinting some parts even a dark red. The hair was a fun combination of MADesigns Eve hairs, with my Amacci hair bases, shown in Dark Brown.

Symphony Skins

Symphony Skins debuted their latest skin tone Base at Vanity Universe’s Skin Fair.  The darkest of their tones to date.   The skin goes beyond a deep tan, with good shadows, and proper highlights to keep the features in focus.  A variety of makeups featuring striking makeup.

Symphony Skins provides you with a light, red, and dark brow option, as well as a ‘busty’ version of skin that is done well.  Makeups are available in a “Day” or “Night” range, and pay special attention to making your eyes and lips a standout feature.

Baritone was a tone I liked, as well as Tenor (not shown), it’s a light tone, that’s not washed out, and even with the lighter tone, the selection of makeup still remains in keeping with the skin, and not overly vibrant.   I liked the busty effects, the highlights near the rear, and the belly buttons.

GeEs Designs – Marlin Drow

I don’t know what it is about drow skins but they drive me mad in a good way.  I don’t get the opportunity to be a drow inworld, unless I get lucky and hit a stash of drow skins.  GeEs Designs has drow skins at their booth at Vanity Universe Skin Fair.  Maybe its the they are so sophisticated looking reminiscent of the luminous quality of old black and white films, that appeals to me or the edgy, look of the fully dressed drow.

GeEs Designs has included a range of makeups, and even tattoos on face and cleavage.  These are a lovely medium dark tone, which I wore with my The Body Politik elf ears, which are menu color changeable worn in Dark Drow.

Even though its grey in tone, the luminous highlights show through, body nicely defined.  The range of makeups also feature some on face tattoos, and additional skins with matching tattoos on cleavage.

I took advantage of being dressed for this to head over to my stores main location at Oubliette.  It’s a wonderland of nature currently Autumn themed.  My only destination there dressed as a drow could be our cave system in the South Eastern quadrant for some location shots to test the skin in the proper drow environment.

Vanity Universe Skin Fair opens November 7th, 2009 at 12 pm SLT, and ends November 22, 2007 at 12AM SLT.  5 days of giving towards an important cause!

Tuli has outdone herself yet again, this time with the amazing, naturally beautiful–Bella.  Aptly named, this skin is a stunner! The body is so well done you will be amazed!  This skin comes in a variety of shades, all represented well.  Tuli has done extra work making the skins truly vavavavoom in the cleavage area with two push up editions!  Skins also feature light, red, and brown eyebrows on skin.  A lovely fairy dusting of freckles across the nose and a lovely beauty mark by the lip complete the look.

Shown with Adam N Eve’s Leopardess Lingerie in Black/Tan.  This set comes with stockings, panties (shown here), boy short option, bra, and garter.  I went with Sylfie’s Prim Seduction Rogue stilettos in Dark/Leopard.  My hair is Olivia from Tiny Bird, in Brownie.  It’s a fresh short hair style, with lovely waves. Still wearing my Glamurena Studios eyes in Mossy Eye.  I am wearing Celestial Studios Club Collection lashes called Club 6.  They are a big favorite of mine at the moment.

Skin/Shape Expo ‘09 began September 26th, benefiting the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  It’s a smaller event then a fair typically is, with a wide variety of stores participating. Blue & a Hair Fair-Hair Sneak Peek

I have had the MichaMi Jacket in Sky for sometime now, and have yet to blog it.  I bought it in Sky which is a soft mute blue, in MichaMi’s sophisticated color palette.  It lends itself easily to casual wear, and is perfect for dressing it up more.  It’s collar and prim jacket parts are all togther so this is great for wearing with jewelry and not having to find a new attachment point.  The sculpts are well done and come in a variety of sizes for you. I paired it with Maitreya’s Jules Jean Skirt in Dark, which consists of a well done sculpted prim skirt, and sculpted belt.  The base is well finished, so it can double for a great pair of shorts too.  Under my jacket I wore LeLutka‘s Shirt Top in White.  It also features sculpted parts, which I chose not to wear, a lovely tiered effect with drape of fabric over the shoulder.   Alone on layer it added a nice angle, and a crisp tight fitting expanse of white.  It wasn’t hard to pull on my favorite boots from Maitreya, the Dune, in blue.  Sculpted yumminess and good texture galore.

A cute handbag from BareRose called Bellisma in Blue was a great match, despite the finishing being in a old gold, it worked perfectly, shown here attached to right hand, default is left.  They include several attachments points on the left and have thrown in a clutch purse too! Good texture, and options for a excellent BareRose price.  I bought mine at BR’s location at The Deck, if you wanna snag it without the hassle of hunting through the plethora of amazing outfits at the main and go broke too. ;P  I topped it off with the Starry Necklace in Blue from eLDee. I love how chunky, and fun this piece is, really a nice bit of work.

Sasy told me about this chic tote from Dark Mouse, I immediately teleported to Dark Mouse.   Comes in a pack of 4 colors for only a hundred lindens!  There is a Red one as a  monthly gift for group members if you join the group too.  It’s a chic straw tote packed with goodies from the market, wine, bread, and a bouquet of sunflowers. I love an awesome tote packed with things, and this fits the bill.  The bright sunshine yellow flowers were so nice,  I chose to accessorize my outfit with a bright shock of yellow.

My next choice for adding more color were my Ballet Flats in Lemon/Black from Flair.  A perfect casual flat, it has these cute little safety pins on them, and come in two colors per pack.  PSST!  If you buy the Yellow/Black Pinned Ballet Flats (shown here) from Flair @ The Deck , and IM Sasy Scarborough saying you saw them on “Whimsy’s Blog” or “Virtually Dressed”, you can choose any other color in the same range  for free!

Milli Santos told me about this store called Honey-Honey a month ago, I teleported over and saw the clothes which were casual and beach oriented at extremely affordable prices, and I bought the whole store!   Items range from cute tube tops like I am wearing here, in black & white check, with a baby-doll top option, to hand drawn tops with sculpted collars, swim wear, shorts, jeans, and skirts.  I also wore Honey-Honey’s White pants, which are nicely drawn, with sculpted cuffs.  I added Honey-Honey’s Black Leather Belt, but I re-textured the silver details to gold, on my own with my textures to match my jewelry.

I mixed in some more yellow with a collection of various jewelery and bangles I have picked up from VG Republic (still closed), and Zaara.  I love these big chunky bangles called Melange, from Zaara, bonus they come with right and left, so you can wear 1 set or really go big with 2 sets on.  They come in a variety of colors, and are reasonably priced.  Zaara has earrings and other jewelry too so be sure to check those out next time you are there.

I’m wearing a the latest skin from Adam N Eve, called Beauty in T4, nude makeup, I hope to blog it soon.  I usually go for T3 at Adam N Eve, but I saw it on Sasy in this shade and went WOW.  One shade darker then T3, and a very lovely tan, I hope to wear it with lots of beach wear this summer.  I am totally in love with the butt on it!  I have a relatively new hair on Torwen from ETD.  First featured when ETD reopened last month.  Shown in Chestnut, its a lovely side pony.

His & Her Mix - Gary

Gary has this knack of showing up matching his outfit to mine well.  After getting changed for the day he showed up and voila he had this on.  I had to take photos of course, as it was completely unplanned that day.

Gary loves his Akeyo Chucks,  they are color changeable, and he fully utilises this feature. Well at least I know cause I hear it all the time.  Gary’s latest big purchase was the new men’s release at artilleri.  He made a very wise investment in the entire set of bowling shirts, shown here in Flames.  I have always loved artilleri’s bowling shirts on him and these fit in perfectly with what he already owns.  Click here to see the 16 piece release of shirts.  He would have worn his artilleri Burt jeans but Sasy stole them!!

Instead he went with another favorite pair of jeans, Black Classic, from Armidi.  They are nicely detailed, a nice color, and feature prim pant legs.  Gary is also wearing a great necklace called Quest, from Uzuri, which was a store gift.  We both own this one and I really like how unisex it is.  He’s wearing Clutch from Tukinowaguma for hair, and one of the Ewan skins from Belleza, and Taped Fingers & Black Nails from SiniStyle Designs.

After being on a semi black and white binge recently I had to have some color, LeeZu’s La pequena chaqueta jacket was just what I needed.  It’s a fun jacket full of rich intense color, and texture, with great shaped prim parts to add further dimension.  This deep intense teal went well with Adam n Eve’s Skai boots in Calypso.  Not to overpower the outfit I went with Maitreya’s Jules denim skirt which has this lovely sculpted skirt prim, and belt.  It holds it own in the outfit while still letting the jacket set the tone.

For a touch of added color I pulled out the plum tones in the jacket with  Maitreya’s Slouch Socks, and added more with ETD’s Casual Purse in Eggplant and Orchid.  The purse comes with its own ao, and I am glad I picked up the fat-packs of purses from ETD.  Celestial Studio’s Whitney style hair added more color in the color-changeable headband, while pulling the hair back to show off the collar of the Jacket.  VG Republic’s (yes, still closed, but we are patient) Double Hoop earrings colorchangable in plum were a close enough match, the color was close to the shades of purples already in the jacket.  Redgrave’s Leticia skin in lilac worked lovely too.

I wore my Boot Fixer hud for this post, I have been wearing it more and more and even with short ankle boots and shoes.  Its this neat little hud, very simple to use, wear and turn on.  It corrects any deviation in animations, and poses that distort the line of the foot/ankle area so no matter what shoes or boots you are wearing they always line up perfectly.  Even with regular shoes you wouldn’t think this would be such a problem, but I have noticed it helps too, so now I am wearing it all the time.  It’s $50 on xstreet, and available here.   Sasy turned me onto this gadget, she blogged it here.
