I’ve built a corporate fashion forward look with Emery’s new mesh Destiny top that’s currently available at My Attic. It’s available in 5 colors, and I think this look would really pop with the berry and au colors. I went a bit more sedate with my beige. It’s a high waist cut, that goes nicely with My Attic palm print Irie skirts, or any high waist bottom. I’m wearing it with Celoe’s Nikka Skirt in pitch, they worked perfectly together. I’ve accessories with SLink’s new Attache Bag in black, which is also available at My Attic, and Erratic’s new Emily leather boots in beige. The Emily boots are available in 11 colors, and a nice variety of browns within, and include a HUD for 3 types of metal inner zippers. I’m wearing a new skin from Tuli, the Eva in makeup 04 with dimples, and used the Tuli skin applier to custom match my SLink mesh hands. My nail polish applier is My Attic Sandee available in Set 30. Its a lovely cream, with silver pinstripe. My hair is newer from Wasabi Pills, and asymmetrical fringed bob called Betty. It’s currently available at FaMeshed. My poses are Adorkable’s Ella set, Cinderella themed poses before and after her fairy godmother change. All in keeping with My Attic’s April theme of ‘Change’. My Attic’s April session runs through to April 30th. The Celoe & LeLutka team have released several new items. For Celoe it’s the hot Jacqualine Sandals. The mesh sandals come in eight colors, with the chain/metal options of gold and silver included. They feature an easy to use HUD to tint feet, change manicures, and resize. Forget spring, I need a hot summer date for these!
LeLutka released two mesh hairstyles, and today I am wearing the Bouffant in Praline. This. Is. Big. Sexy. Hot. Hair. The hairstyle features a mesh base, mesh tresses, and a pearl tiara. Grab a demo and check it out.

Celoe Jacqualine Sandals

My poses are new from Ma Vie, and are currently available at Pose Fair 2013 which is running until April 14. I used several from different sets released there, and also with my Eames Lachaise from Handverk. Ma Vie makes nice poses, suited nicely for everything from personal photos, blogging, and professional photography. Don’t forget to check out her Underwater Love set. While you might just think it’s for mermaids…I’m sitting on the chaise with it. You better WORK!

I’m also wearing Handverk’s Flamingo Clutch, and Disk Necklace. The clutch is full of whimsy, and available in a variety of colors, I’m over the moon with the pink one, and love the design of it. The disk necklace is also available in a number of textures, and is great for modern formal and casual. I’m really impressed with the design of Handverks accessories as they are contemporary in design, but each has some organic or whimsical element.

HANDverk New Mainstore

HANDverk has created a new main store. It’s a beautiful contemporary mesh building complex housing their mesh accessories, and mesh home goods. The building is beautiful I especially liked the enclosed courtyard at the teleport spot. The canopy over it really is nice, and I love the spiral stair case in the corner. The home goods are nicely displayed for demoing, and finding the options available for them. The accessories building is a stunning display area for their items. The colors, the tone of wood, and graphic displays are professional, well thought out, and suit the entire build. The designers have put as much thought and care into the store as they do the design of their products, and ads. Second Life is becoming so exciting and refreshing since the introduction of mesh and this is an example.

A new release/update from SLink are my SLink Avatar Enhancement Hands. If you already own SLink’s mesh hands, or feet go back to the store and get the latest update via the redelivery terminal. The latest update gives you the ability to perfectly match your prim parts to your skin by using an applier made by your skin designer!

Developer kits are available to designers, click here for more info on how to apply for a kit. Tuli is using this now with my new Eva skin, so you can stop by her store and buy a skin applier hud that will match all her tones. The hands/feet are really simple to use. Unpack your purchase, read the item titles inside the folder carefully. There will be the regular mesh hands/feet you can tint still via hud. But there is a separate hand/foot boxed that says “Avatar Enhancement”. Unpack this if it’s not already unpacked. This is what you need to use the appliers, the actual part will be labeled with an (av).

You will find your hands and several huds in the Avatar Enhancement folder. There is a Basic Fingernails Hud with basic manicures. The Main Nails Visibility Hud allows you to change the length and tip of your fingernails. There is a hud you can wear to quick access the SLink website for more info called Slink Avatar Enhancements. Check to see if your favorite skin designers have made SLink hand/feet appliers for you. They’re easy to use, once you have your (av) hands/feet on, wear that particular stores hud, and click the shade you want, and viola. Same technique for manicures which are available from several stores. I’m wearing a pink and silver manicure in Flair’s Set 5. Many designers are also using this to make stockings for the bare mesh foot as well so check your favorite stores for this item.

*Remember you will only see the perfect effects from tinting and appliers, if you have your basic shaders and atmospheric shaders enabled. To do this, go into (Ctrl + P) Preferences > Graphics Tab > Advanced and checkmark the boxes.*

The creators of Celoe and LeLutka recently released these stunning mesh mermaids called The Erare Project.  The mermaids consist of a variety of body parts to transform you from human to siren.  There are eight in total, each more beautiful than the next. Flora is a lovely bottle green that provides camouflage.  Fury is predominately red, with some tones of gold and orange and stands out brilliantly. Pretense is a darker mermaid with lavender, midnight, and prussian blues that mimic the deeper depths. Mercy is soft and lovely tones of subdued pinks, corals, and golds.  Ghost is muted tones of coral, nude, sea green, and pale gold. Glory are muted, and deep tones of red, gold, and browns. Spire is a beautiful black, that really stands out dramatically. Foam blends into the waves, with silvery blues, and muted lavender.

The hair is stunning, the concept is incredible, and it moves with perfection. Included are mesh eyes that are eerie and beautiful.  They’re modifiable so you can custom fit them.  There is a layer to add a shimmer to your exposed skin, and another for your torso that is the main torso color with added detail to the breast bone area. There are two types of breast adornment, one more modest than the other. I’m wearing the full version.  There are also several other mesh fin and kelp attachments for various looks, in my photo I am wearing all of them. Mesh hand/claws give a nice look, and give the impression you could really grasp a fish, or defend yourself with them. The tail is very long, giving a slim elongated form balanced out nicely by the caudal tail fin. The tail itself moves nicely with the body, and comes with tail angle HUD that allows you to move it in a variety of degrees to suit your mood.  They’ve also included an AO for movement with lovely animations, it’s modifiable allowing you to customize it further if you own more mermaid animations. Various parts are rigged to move perfectly with the body as need, others are left unrigged to allow you to modify them for a perfect fit.  This design was not only beautifully executed, but well thought out. The Syren’s are available on a barge in the waters just off of the city area of Mayfair.  Nearby them is a group gift of a lovely necklace made with them in mind.

If you are looking for more ways to add to your merlife, some of my favorite finds over the years are Kami-Hitoe’s Dramatic Seas AO2.  This ao has been my basic mermaid ao for years. It features lovely movement, ground sits, and my favorite hover, and crawl animations. Sala Snook, the designer at Kami-Hitoe makes a variety of mermaid ao’s, and items, all are worth checking out. My most amusing item from Kami-Hitoe is the mermaid fish bowl. Another favorite mermaid resource I’ve used is Creative Insanity’s Mermaid AO, it has beautiful ‘stands’ that move your body about in a very wide range. I have used both of the ao’s with the Erare mermaid and they work perfectly with them.  Check around the grid for more mermaid items, if you are looking for some cool additions to your own mermaid spot try SL’s Marketplace  for decor, homes, sea life, waves, rocks, surrounds, and plants. There is a wide variety of items that would be perfect to create your mer-paradise.  If you want to play, I recommend Mittandraland Mermaid Haven…watch out for the nets and mines. Thanks to Nei Ruffino aka `ToolKitten from DeviantArt whose stock images, stock_ocean_2 & stock_ocean_6,  I used for these photos.  I also used a variety of free textures for overlays etc from Insight Designs.
