Adorkable @ Pose Fair 2013

Pose Fair 2013 has begun and there are so many great stores involved. Adorkable has several new sets of poses available, I’m featuring two poses from them. Adorkable is a unique pose maker who includes a mirrored version of each pose. This photo was done using Grace 1 and Grace 1m. In theory I could have created this photo by mirror myself in photo editing software, however, what if I wanted to do a location shot, with two avatars….mirrored poses for the win. I like the idea of mirrored poses as many times I will want to use a pose but because of what I am wearing it just doesn’t suit the post, but the mirror will. I’m wearing Doll COCO’s mesh ball-jointed doll avatar. This avatar body is free and comes in two skin tones, Snow, and Cacao. You can choose from a number of unique mesh heads as a separate purchase for a custom look, as well as mesh clothing, and costumes specifically made for the doll. She also has accessories like hats, helmets, even bat wings, animated insect wings, and monster feet are available. Join her free group and click the vendor at the store to get your starter body. The body has several body options, with or without lingerie, and ‘smooth’ option with no genital details, and a default version with nipple areolas and full genitals. After purchasing a Head for the body, you can wear it in place of the White Cap that tops the doll body. The head also includes a wearable teardrop, and a head with closed eyes. The dress comes with two necks in the skin tones, I didn’t need them, and the boots with two skin color options. I removed my doll feet to wear them.

For this photo I am wearing Doll COCO’s gift Rabbit Avatar. This rabbit looks so serious, it’s just adorable. Its a free gift, right next to another free gift of Wizard of Oz themed mesh characters, and a mesh Dorothy avatar. This rabbit also comes with a camouflage jacket. I’m showing off the cute Whimsy 2m pose from the Whimsy post set. I loved how even more defiant the bunny looks with it.

Alphabet Challenge-B

Letter B in Willow Zander’s Alphabet Challenge was fun. I had fun and used a number of B stores with my Bloom avatar. Blue Galaxy‘s Stereo hair was a fun choice, I pulled in some color with my Array leggings from Bijou, and Suede Bootie from Coco in this bright purple. Dress it up with a fun sleeveless jacket from Baiastice over my Boom polo dress, and giant black gems from Ganked.

Hair Fair 2011 – Gauze

Gauze released three hair styles at Hair Fair 2011. Holy Crayola Fatpacks! If you love, and I mean LOVE colored hair this is your store. Her natural tones are well done, and her colors versions are bright! It was a lot of fun trying each of the colors on to see the stores range. I went a bit tame in comparison with my color choices for this post, but you gotta take my word for it, if you ever need lemon colored hair, Gauze is IT. I loved Hunter, a loosely pulled back style, great volume, perfect whisps. Pike and Wisp were two spunky short hairs,. Wisp is quite tall, good natural flow to the spikes.

Hair Fair 2011 is ongoing through July 15th. Featuring 4 sims full of designers who each are offering 3 to 5 new hairstyles with a portion of each style going towards Wigs For Kids. Womens, mens, casual, formal, fantasy styles you name it. Plus many designers have included a free gift in their stores. Don’t forget to check out the bandana booths on each sim! Bandana’s made by designers, content creators, and your fellow residents! Bandanas are $50L each, and 100% benefit the charity. Bandana Day is July 15th, the last day of the fair, the day we take off our hair, wear a bandana to show our support to those effected by hair loss because of illness.

Vanity Universe Skin Fair 2011 – Tuli (Zoe)

Tuli will be at Vanity Universe’s Skin Fair, showing off her latest endeavor–Zoe. For those who love the layer possibilities of newer 2.0 based viewers, Zoe is a delight! A skin pack contains a skin tone that is comprised of six skins, these six differ each having it’s own eye makeup shown here with no prim lashes worn. They are full skins, meaning on the skin layer.

The packs contain multiple layers to customize your look, seven brows; black, bleached, blonde, carrot, copper, honey, light brown, and red. In addition to these, she includes twelve lip shades in Amethyst, cherry, coral, kiss, lilac, magenta, nude, peach, raspberry, ruin, and terra, and eyebrow shaper, and a shape! Of course Tuli threw in some cleavage layers too, she’s always kind to the cleavage!

Throwing in a style post I just couldn’t wait for. L’ Abel has this super awesome sequin capri with the cutest ruffles at the knee. I mixed Coco’s Bow Shirt I picked up recently, and I love the effect of both of them. I was so close to accessorizing this with bright red, but I felt that was too predictable and went with a bubble gum pink accessories from DeLa.

Mind your manners, and please try to not “wear blings, scripted hair, scripted shoes, scripted or sculpty attachments, animation overrides (AO´s), sensor HUDs, mystitools, anti spy shields, or other HUDs.” The general idea is to go low script, even if you turn off the scripts, but still wear the device, the item is in passive listening mode and still counts, please remove. This is for you to see the latest from many designers, and not show off that awesome 2700 prim scripted avatar you just bought. Having said this, please remember while it might be rude to wear all this to the fair, it’s just as rude to turn into a screaming harridan yelling about people’s avatar rendering costs, ao’s, etc. Just turn off the people and shop! Ctrl alt shift 4 turns off people, doing it again will turn them back on. It’s also nice for cutting some lag (client side).

Bubbles Clawtooth, of the Tableau Clawtooths aka Clawtooth by Clawtooth, has made yummy hairs this year, many of them with a vintage origin. The French Connection is tres chic, and very nautical at the same time oh la ahoy, viva la resistance! The beret is texture change which gives you tons of options, and really hugs your head well accenting your bangs/fringe. Other designs from Clawtooth this year are RockinRolls, a fun victory roll hair, follow up another victory roll hair he did awhile back. I love it. My Shilova is a chic short hair that I think can go from casual to evening wear. It’s very 1930’s, yet very contemporary. You’re A Star, is exactly old Hollywood glamour, it begs for a satin gown, and a tiered fur stole with tails. Turnip Sorbet is Clawtooth’s charity hair, its very waif like, adorable, and versatile. I loved the possibilities insinuated by this hair so I paired it with a navy peacoat from en Svale, and headed over to Mystic to take shadow photos. They were quite fail for me, but luckily Sasy is better then me at it, and took these for me. I’m also wearing a blue strip turtleneck from Coco, I love the effect of the sculpted bottom portion, specially with this shorter peacoat. I have absolutely no idea whose shorts I am wearing, and my apologies to the creator. I am usually able to recall such things easily, and didnt make notes at the time this photo was taken, 1 free item from my store to the first person who accurately names it, and it appears in my inventory. I am afraid it’s the same with the makeup version of this Chaisuki skin, you will have to try on demos to find it, it’s most likely in the Vienna line, peach tone, as I have been wearing those alot lately.

Soul Sloshing

I’ve been doing a series of posts on my favorite jeans, and this time it’s fri.days turn. This is such a vivid outfit. I really like this shade of red with this particular pair of jeans from fri.day’s Iunno pack. They feature a variety of cuffs; flare, cuffed, boot cut, skinny, in addition to that they provide them with a flat shoe variation length and come in several shades. The shirt is part of a short dress from Coco. Available in four shades, I had to have this vivid red, and the warm yellow too. I have a double skinny belt in white with gold logo from YS&YS. Most of my jewelry is discontinued, you may have them in inventory. I’m also wearing a bangle set that is available, at fri.day, the red ones. My bag is the sack bag in white from LeLutka, it comes with an ao version, and one without, and is available in quite a number of colors. My hair is a new release from Ploom called Seffy II, shown here in Blonde. I used the color streak hud to put a red streak in to match my shirt. My skin is from Tuli’s Jade line, I love the simple classic look of this makeup. My shoes are from Maitreya’s Maitreya Gold line, called Shanti, shown here in Cherry.
