Glance @ Skin Fair 2013
Glance debuted Anais at Skin Fair 2013. Anais is available in six skin tones, ranging from a light tan to December, a lovely dark skin. I’ve used December to show the eye-shadows, and lipsticks this skin comes with. The tattoo layer ten eye-shadows give really nice definition and highlights to the lids, and the lipsticks come in ten mattes, and ten glossy versions. The skin is a really nice base to play with makeups on as there is a lot of attention paid to the face. I really liked that I don’t have to touch my shape for any Glance skins. Glance is great at utilizing hint of yellow to the skin which if you are looking for some culturally diverse skins, grab some demos and check these out, I like them as I can wear the lighter tones and still get the slight yellow undertone, that I used to in RL skin. The skins come with big and small cleavage options, and brown, black, or no brow options. Glance also has tango appliers available for the Anais skin.
Glance has recent releases Liu and Lana at Skin Fair. Both feature black, brown, no brow options. Liu also comes with a thin brow option, and Lana has a red and blonde brow option. The brow options are well chosen for the tones they are available in. Both skins feature big and small cleavage options.
I really like Lana on myself next to the Anais personally without changing my shape or hair color, and the three mid range tones it’s available in are really beautiful. I like how it really defines my brow bone on the eyelid, and gives me really great cheek bones. Lana has lovely ten eye-shadows on tattoo layers, and also features pretty lipsticks in ten glossy, and ten mattes.
Liu is a really pretty skin, that suits asian shapes very well, while I am wearing it on my usual shape, I tried it with another shape I have modded specially for the eye area of other asian skins and it was equally good. I really like the ten eye shadows, and how stunning they look with the skin. The skin has ten glossy and ten matte lipsticks. The base Liu skin features a pretty spray of freckles, and shine on the face. Glance includes a no freckle tattoo layer, and a no freckle or shine tattoo layer with them.

Mark Your Calendars! Upcoming Event: Fashion For Life 2013
From noon March 9th 2013 to noon March 17th 2013, the biggest, boldest and most fabulous fashion event of the year will take place, helping to raise funds and awareness on behalf of the ‘American Cancer Society.’
FASHION FOR LIFE is an annual, charitable fashion event, that brings together hundreds of clothing designers, skin makers, hair creators, jewellers and accessory designers to produce a brilliant shopping experience for the whole Second Life ™ community.
Expect limited edition fashion items, Gachas and raffles this year plus non-stop entertainment, music and fashion shows produced by the top modelling agencies in-world. Its going to be a VERY stylish week!
This year’s inspiration for Fashion For Life is the ‘Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.’ There are 7 themed SIMs, and 2 entertainment/events SIMs:

Countdown @ My Attic
The W. Winx & Flair Countdown set is a fun, bright, addition to your home, or hangout spot. Featuring a pillow and rug that sits 4, and two cool sets of numbers, each with a custom made sit, and feature books, and a pillow. Also included are bamboo and candle arrangement with click on/off flames. All mesh, and only 14 land impact! Perfect for first land!
The W. Winx – Winxbox – Countdown is fun, dramatic way to highlight your New Year festivities creating a themed environment featuring 5 custom made poses. The Winxbox is modifiable allowing you to remove, edit out of the way, or make the surrounding Winxbox transparent and you have a festive display perfect for parties, stores, or events. Partial mesh it has a land impact of 34.
Both items are currently available at the My Attic event. My Attic’s December session started on the 21st of December and runs through to December 31st all items will be $95L. The theme for this session is ‘Countdown’ and the designers, and guest designers participating have created beautiful items based on what that theme means to them. A selection of fashion, hair, poses, accessories and props available. I hope you will join us for this event at The Deck. Together For Sway – W. Winx & Flair – Carova Retreat
Designers across the grid have banded together to create items for the Together For Sway event. The event runs from today, December 15th through December 31st, and benefits a much appreciated designer, Sway Dench, in Second Life. Sway Dench is the avatar behind Sway’s, a cute store with an eclectic mix of homewares, bric a brac, and fashion – check out her cute rubber boots. Sway in real life has a benign brain tumor, and is under going surgery in about a month for it. Together for Sway was created to help her business stay afloat during her surgury and recovery, affording her the opportunity to relax and recooperate without the stress of worrying about her business for the next six months.
Together For Sway features items from over 80 stores, with 100% of the purchase price being donated to Sway Dench. There will be a number of music events accompanying the event, check the blog for details, updates, and additions. Many items have been already blogged, and vendor ads adding to the Together For Sway flickr group, take a sneak peak at them before heading over. W. Winx & Flair have collaborated to create the Carova Retreat for Together For Sway. It’s a tranquil spot for your garden or outdoor space where you can hang out with your friends. The design features mesh, 23 land impact, 5 custom sits, and click on/off candles. With the low land impact it makes it ideal for first land.
This item is available for purchase at the Together For Sway event. There is a full size display demo at the W. Winx mainstore just outside, including a landmark giver back to the event.

In The Sunshine
Erratic recently released the Cory Oversized Sweater at FaMeshed. A great mesh sweater in a variety of patterns from plain, color blocks, stripes. Grab some demos, each one is fabulous. I’m wearing two in this post, a plain purple, which was really really purple, I love it, and Color Block 1, full of deep bright colors. I love the detailed cuffs, and the zipper in the back. With the sweater in Look 1 I’m wearing Emery’s mesh Mid-Rise Skinny Jeans- Tie Dye. A nice smooth tight fit, nice shape, love the design. I accessorized with matching purple mesh Alexa Wedges from Maitreya. Twin Skinny Belt from Aoharu, Celoe’s mesh Clement necklace, and a Patent Leather Purse from Modern Gypsy.
In Look 2, I’ve styled the sweater with a mesh highwaist mini skirt from Richielli, in a bright orange and ethnic print. I played with all the colors by using my new mesh Valencia jewelry from Gossamer Jewelry currently at FaMESHed. All the pieces have preset color combinations in them, just click and a menu drops down. They also featured various lengths of necklace, and multiple strands. I used more color by adding a great clutch from Osakki, they’re currently closed, but plan to reopen soon featuring skin and accessories. Can’t wait until they do! Check your inventory to see if you already own this cute clutch. II’m wearing a new mesh hair from Ploom called Trista, it’s a perky ponytail, that’s available in a solid one over color, or dipped. I’m wearing Maitreya’s Salience Socks & Tights Liquorice and a new skin from Amacci called Liane. Liane in bronze is a very tanned look, and I really like the abdominals on this. I wore matching lip tattoo lipstick, and went with a blush from her Blush pack.
Look 3 features a new mesh shirt from Boom. It’s a cute cuffed cropped tee, available in a variety of colors, and graphics. Check out some demos at the mainstore. I’m wearing it layered over a on layer tank from Jane, and with Ricielli’s ETA Jeans in White Leopard. I’ve accessorized with a belt from Bukka, which features color change leather, and rings. Hard to see as look 2′s arm is around my arm but I’m wearing YS&YS’s Naala bangles, and their gold hoop earrings from their Afrika set. I went my Maitreya mesh Radical Boots in chocolate suede, I love how soft they look. My hair is new from Wasabi Pills, called Izumi, featuring two cute mesh thin long mesh pigtails. I finished off the look with the oh so cute collar recently released from Pididdle. It’s mesh, and available in a variety of colors/textures.
In Look 4 I am wearing the denim version of Boom’s mesh Twenty-Three Tee. The Valencia set from Gossamer that’s also shown in Look 2. This time I’m wearing the bangles, and a multiple strand option. I’m wearing Miel’s recently released long mesh Jersey Skirt, and SLink’s Suede Wrap Wedges, color changed to match my top. My mesh tote is from The Secret Store, and I took all my color cues from it. It’s a happy, brightly colored print. To offset this summery look, I went with Amacci’s Liane in bronze skin again, adding Glitter Eyeshadow from Izzie’s, and Izzie’s leather waist belt. My hair is also from Amacci, and new. Sira’s a really cool pony, with color changeable highlights, and band via HUD, and worn with a matching hairbase. I was really excited to see this hairstyle, and can’t wait to wear it more.

Juicy Crush On You
The Juicy Crush On You event has started. Lots of designers, and full of treats. Sasy and I worked together again to create three items for this event. The Ballina Crush Set, the Juicy Crush Rug, and the Crush Cactus Planter. Juicy Crush On You runs February 10th to February 18th with 40+ stores involved. Teleport to event. The Back To Black Event 2012 – Strength
The Back To Black event starts February 11th through February 29th and is brought to you by Chic Management. This event is to promote mental health awareness and is themed around inspirational themes; like Love, Strength, Family, Friendship, etc. I chose two items from Strength for this post, perception is that you either have it or don’t. The truth is you cultivate it, and exercise it like a muscle, it’s something you’ve had all along.
Izzie’s has made these cute leisure sets that come in three colors, with choice of coordinating drawstring cording. I like how comfortable they look, specially while doing some yoga. Elefantu‘s Yoga Studio is a fun item featured. It’s a full yoga studio, that comes with a surround sphere so you get the full effect of being out and about at the studio. It’s decorated with yoga mats for you and your yoga buddies, relaxing candles, water cooler, and other decor. Each yoga mat comes with menu driven yoga animations.

For this post I am also wearing new hair from Ploom, and new skin from Adam n Eve. I love this long pony tail, and how it’s divided over the shoulder and down the back. Amaris is a beautiful skin I plan to show more indepth in another post. I went with a natural look for this with the Fraiche. Included are matching manicures and pedicures on layers, chest enhancers and ‘dehancers’, hair bases in Black, Brown, Pale Blond, and Red. Freckles, and eyebrows in Blond, Brown and Red.

Skin and Shape Expo 2011 – Amacci
Amacci released Katie at the Skin and Shape Expo, this is a lovely skin, shown here in Nutmeg. This skin is well made and detailed. Comes with hair base, and cleavage options, additional eyebrow shapers, system lash alpha to hide default lashes, and 16 base makeups. Shown here are makeups 1-4, in nutmeg, followed by lip tattoos made for the Katie skin.
The Skin and Shape Expo runs through the 20th. Featuring both skin and shape makers, this is the place to come to to create a whole new you. More than 60 creators in total, spread out over 2 sims, should make a pleasant shopping experience. Each creator has an item out with 50% of the proceeds going to Direct Relief International.

I have lots to blog but here’s a teaser due to time constraints, an adorable little purple party dress perfect for the coming holiday parties. The skirt is a smart skirt so even sitting and chatting with friends you look great as the skirt immediately adjusts for sitting. Glittery purple texture makes it fun, lets you shine! The seam work is great and i love the bodice, but was surprised to see that once you take off the skirt you have a great body suit too. Love when that works!
