Ten to Twenty

I’m  really excited as this should be my first post on the Style Academy feed, check out their flickr group, for more yummy photos. Maitreya released the Milia Sweater Dress, and Suave Shoes this week.  This mesh dress is super comfortable looking, well textured, and fits nicely.  It’s available in 16 colors! It looks great on it’s own, or layered over jeans, sweats, leggings, and stockings.  The Suave shoes are super sexy, with many heel options, and a sock option as shown here. It’s available in the Maitreya Gold section of Maitreya.  I’ve added Maxi Gossamer Jewelry’s latest release – Santa Fe, new at FaMeshed.  This jewelry features menu driven texture change options on the disc, triangles, and cording.  My skin is a new release from Adam N Eve.  It’s Disa, in T4.  Disa comes in a variety of makeups, with blonde and red eyebow layers, cleavage enhancer, and de-enhancer, and dimples (worn). It’s a lovely skin, with a mature look.  The body is up to the standards you see from Adam n Eve, so you will continue to look great.  Shown here is Meadow makeup skin, with dimples, and blonde eyebrow layer.

Memories

I’m wearing two new items from Ploom, the mesh Cynthia hair, which is available in the store, and the Lea Libra skin from the Zodiac event.  I love the eye makeup, it’s a fun playful look.  I’m also wearing a partial mesh slipdress from PaperDoll, which is available at Fair.  It’s available in a variety of fun playful colors. I went with my L’Aph ballet flats, which a really nicely textured mesh flats, in a duo tone of Green and Camel.

Trompe Loeil recently released the mesh Morning Light Cupboard Bed at Fair.  It’s a new event, and for more information check out the blog.  This bed, has several shelves for decorating.  I’ve decorated the interior with some of my most favorite little items, many limited editions, and items no longer available, so I won’t list them.  The bed comes in two versions, filled with single, and couples PG animations/poses, and Adult.  There are several different choices of bed linen textures available.  The outside wood frame and the inner wood surround are in a light grey wood texture, and since the item is modifiable, makes it a great item to select for your home as you can tint it to match your mood, and decor. As you can see, tinting adds a nice unique touch, you can go from cute to dramatic. Here’s a variety of ways I tinted two versions, the Rose, and Blue Thistle. If you are unfamiliar with tinting, please see the end of my post for a quick tutorial. I’m using a different sit pose that isn’t included in the bed.

How to Tint Prims

Firstly, sorry some of my text and photos are small or blurry.  You can click through to see larger sizes on flickr, or follow along with the text instructions below.

1. Go into Edit Mode on an object, by right clicking it, and selecting Edit from the menu.

2. The Edit Window should be elongated, if you have a small window, look for a MORE button, or the thin bar at the bottom with a “v”, and click it.

3. Your default look in Edit Mode (unless you have recently been in the other edit mode tabs) is the General Tab, to the right of it is the Textures Tab – click it.

4. On the top part of your window there will be a small box with text: Edit Linked Parts , click this to select individual prims of your object to tint.

5. You now see your texture editing options.  If you were going to put a different texture on this item you would drag the texture to the texture box or click it to browse for it in your inventory.  We’re tinting, so we will use the Color Box instead. Click the prim you wish to tint, then click the Color Box.

6. Make sure your Apply Now box is check-marked. Now, your Color Picker window is open, and you can see the rainbow color box, you can move your cursor around to find different colors.  The bar on the right lets you slide  up and down the shade for each color.  The color you are currently using is displayed in the larger color box, if you like this color and want to use it on other prims you can drag it to your color bar.

7. Click the ok to close the color picker window, and then x to close the edit window.  Or select another prim to tint, then close.

Bananarita & Cosmopolitan

One Bad Pixel just released their Ring Bikini at faMESHed.  This mesh bikini comes in a wild array of colors, and is super smexy poolside.  Sasy and I spent our Saturday lounging around the pool of Trompe Loeil Zuma Hills home in our bikinis, click here to see her post.  This house is all mesh, its really something to see, plus the pool water has poses to lounge around in. I feel like Barbie in this house. I really liked this bikini, I found the alphas were great, but I didn’t need top alpha as it fit just so (I wear a size S top, size M bottom for these) and was in the privacy of our own pool. I love the details of the side ties, and the ring in the cleavage.

I’m wearing Wasabi Pills Annette mesh hair in Rye, with the hairbase that comes with  it. It’s a nice small pony, with a few whisps about the forehead. If you like this style check out their Annette 2 which features a bit of a side bang for variation, I’m wearing it on Sasy’s post.  I am including my outfit information at the bottom of this post.  I’m wearing Izzie’s Delusional skin, I also blogged it here.  This skin is shown here in the blonde eyebrow version.  It’s currently available at Skin Addiction’s Skin Showcase Event which runs through June 10th. I’m also wearing Izzie’s Classic Nails Spring/Summer 2012, that feature a nice selection of current 2012 color trends for polish.  I was able to tint to match my toes on my mesh feet from SLink, they include a nail tinting hud, as well as a nice hud to custom match your skin, and add other nail polishes. They are nicely formed feet and a dream to customize, and fit.

A Delusional Romance

It’s the last day of the May session for My Attic, the last few hours that you can purchase the hair, and skirt I’m wearing for a great deal at $95L, after today, all items at My Attic return to their main stores available at full price.

I love being able to pull new items and other items from my inventory together.  I mixed in LeLutka‘s K.I.A shoes, which I think are perfect for this summer, and LeLutka‘s Kezia shirt with this pencil skirt from Cracked Mirror.  The mesh pencil skirt shown is Romance, and is available in several color variations all, I recommend picking up the monochromatic Smoldering as a wardrobe staple.  Secret Summer from Exile is a mesh hair with color changeable hair band. It’s a great style, and with the patterned head band perfect for this seasons cutest outfits.  This skirt and hair is currently at My Attic until May 31st (today’s post). Izzie’s has this beautiful skin called Delusional, available at Skin Addiction’s Skin Showcase Event which runs through June 10th.  Delusional is shown here in Sunkissed tone, and comes with so many option! Culture Shock 2012 – June in Zuma Hills

Culture Shock 2012 has opened, and is jam-packed with 180+ stores!  This event runs through May 26th, 2012.  This is a Chic Management charity event benefiting Médecins Sans Frontières with stores donating 50%-100% of sales of a selected item.  Check out the Culture Shock Blog for more information, and a list of stores, as well as Médecins Sans Frontières for more information about this organization, and the events sponsor – Modavia Fashion.    Teleport to Culture Shock 2012

I’m wearing a mesh dress from Celoe, which is available at Culture Shock 2012.  It’s a lovely mesh frock available in a number of fashionable trendy colors. I particularly like the silkiness of the fabric, and the lovely gathered bodice. I’m wearing Adam n Eve‘s Amaris skin, in natural with the provided small freckles optional layer. and SLink‘s Sarah hair in caramel, another mesh item.  I have contrasted against the turquoise shade with accessories with warmer tones, like Zaara‘s Balini Necklace in Carnelian-Cyan, her Kashiti Bobble ring, and clutch purse from DeLa in Orange, Ison‘s color block pumps in a warm cognac, and Izzie’s latest release – Spring/Summer 2012 Classic Nails in Tangerine.  Izzie’s is also participating in culture shock, check out her booth there, to see cute tri-color tops she has.

I am so over the moon with these nails, as I was having a problem finding just the right shade of nails to compliment and contrast with much of my newer purchases this season, so I approached Izzie Button to consider adding them. They are exactly what I was looking for! I’m completely excited about fashion this year do to the plentiful offerings by many designers featuring the 2012 Pantone color trends.  Seriously I am in heaven, and never have been more excited to hit the stores, and get dressed.  They have me happily wearing orange.  I’m in shock.

My location photo was taken just outside the Zuma Hills prefab from Trompe Loeil available at Culture Shock 2012, This modern, open plan home is made of mesh, and features a lovely pool, many built in features like fireplaces, art, kitchen, lighting, and cypress outside the front entrance. Also shown in my photo are Trompe Loeil’s Zuma Hills barstools in the kitchen area, and couch, chairs, and plants in the living room area.  I’ve used aDORKable poses for this pose, but not the specific ones they have available at Culture Shock, I plan on using these for another post, be sure to check out their booth there.
