Unfinished Symphony

Wasabi Pills will be releaseing this beautiful mesh hairstyle at FaMESHed in Novemeber. It’s features two versions, one of which is for larger chests, includes hair base, and HUD to change the color of the headband. This is a sneak peek! So don’t forget to visit FaMeshed, in November to demo it! I love how perfectly this cinnabar red shade works with my Red Falling Skirt from SySy’s. It’s a nice ankle length mesh skirt, with subtle patterns of leaves, and dots. It’s striking against the colors of the new Maitreya Lux Sweater I’m wearing, this color/pattern is Alpaca Fruit Tree which I used an older purse from Armidi Gisaci/Fashionz! to pull the colors out with. This mesh sweater has a nice knit, and I like the attention to the cuffs, hems, and the fullness of the sleeves. I’m accessorizing with Miel’s Friendo bracelet and necklace which come with a HUD to change the text of the blocks, and features several pre programed color sets, this one is spice. I added Maxi Gosssamer’s Lealao earrings, and thought Tee*Fy’s ballet flats from the current session of My Attic were perfect. Tee*Fy’s mesh Oleander Pointed Flats come in a variety of colors, and are a cute addition to your wardrobe. I love the color of the toe caps, and how they can really add a lot to a look. Be sure to grabs some demos at My Attic! SySy’s skirt, and Tee*fy’s flats will be available for $95L for the next two days at My Attic. After that you will be able to find them in their mainstores. The skin I’m wearing is new from Amacci, this is Hazel in her lovely nutmeg tone. Amacci skins come in an assortment of makeup ready bases, and cleavage versions, with additional lipsticks/stains, eyebrows, and enhancers. It’s a lovely skin, and I went with the #08 Green skin, with the #5 lip tattoo. I loved the base lip shade on this, but went with the additional color, many of the lip tattos had a lovely lightened effect on the lips as well.

Hair Fair 2012 – Vanity Hair

Vanity Hair released 4 hairstyles at Hair Fari 2012. Moondance is a long hair pulled up in the back, that’s sexy and hot! Jioni is a mesh style that consists of a very nicely textured hair base, of cornrolls, with the mesh attachment of dreads nicely arranged, into an elegant style. Playful is another updo, that is a very playful style, great height overall. Florette is is a short style with curls about the face, flirty and fun. I’m wearing a hot summer dress from Koyu, I picked up at the Okinawa Summer Festival. I love it, it’s so summer, and perfect vacation outfit. It’s available in a variety of colors, and prints. Awards Night

Awards season in full swing, inworld and out, and I put together several looks for various events around the grid, but this was by far my favorite this year. I found this beautiful dress at Utopia. In the quest to find the right dress for an event, one really wants the confidence they will be the only person at the event in that dress. Men have it so easy, I wonder if they ever get jacket or waistcoat envy, or find displeasure when someone shows up in the exact same cut, color, and style. Do we even notice?

This dress was a stand out, due to the brilliance of the choice of texture, and color. I like the added sculpted top with flexi prims of translucent fabric. The skirt is amazingly full, and moves about quite dreamily. The left side of the gown has a slit up to the hip, that’s not too wide, but gives a nice glimpse of thigh as you walk. I accessorized with Muse’s Melusine earrings, I am not sure if these are still available, they were specially made for a jewelry event, but you may already own them, along with the Nougatine bracelet. My Melody hair and hair base are recent releases from Amacci, as is my Gem skin from LeLutka.

Vanity Universe Skin Fair 2011 – Tuli (Zoe)

Tuli will be at Vanity Universe’s Skin Fair, showing off her latest endeavor–Zoe. For those who love the layer possibilities of newer 2.0 based viewers, Zoe is a delight! A skin pack contains a skin tone that is comprised of six skins, these six differ each having it’s own eye makeup shown here with no prim lashes worn. They are full skins, meaning on the skin layer.

The packs contain multiple layers to customize your look, seven brows; black, bleached, blonde, carrot, copper, honey, light brown, and red. In addition to these, she includes twelve lip shades in Amethyst, cherry, coral, kiss, lilac, magenta, nude, peach, raspberry, ruin, and terra, and eyebrow shaper, and a shape! Of course Tuli threw in some cleavage layers too, she’s always kind to the cleavage!

Throwing in a style post I just couldn’t wait for. L’ Abel has this super awesome sequin capri with the cutest ruffles at the knee. I mixed Coco’s Bow Shirt I picked up recently, and I love the effect of both of them. I was so close to accessorizing this with bright red, but I felt that was too predictable and went with a bubble gum pink accessories from DeLa.

Amacci

Amacci is a full service salon store, offering skins, hair, eyes, lashes, and lingerie…even eye sparkles! They recently had some releases you should definitely check out if you haven’t already.

Firstly she just released a pack of hair base attachment ponytails that I love, and when it comes to hair bases…Carina Larsen is muh gurl. Guys, she has pony attachments and hair bases for you as well. Then she really wowed us by then releasing a “crazy hair” pack of shades of Blue, Blueberry, Cherry, Lilac, Lime, Pink, Purple, and Red. Amazingly, at the moment those Crazy Hair packs (all hairs have this option as a pack now) are $35L each which include the hair base as well…so if you occasionally like me have a penchant for Pink Ponies…well then. (shown here are Blue, Lime, Blueberry (yeah I know like the yummy warm blueberry pie…mmmm, Pink.)

As if that wasn’t enough the busy girl released the Irina skin, shown here in the various skin tones its available in. The makeups are well done, I love how rich the eye makeup is, the work on the body is lovely, and the lips are dewy and kissable.

I recently went to change my eyes, they have been to date, a free pair of eyes from Basy!, and were discontinued which is why I never really cited them in posts. Amacci was just what I needed, as I hunted everywhere for a eye I could live with everyday. She had a wide range of them, and I found that her browns were really well done. I have decided to make the switch now to her Real Eyes, probably settling on Autumn, or Moon, as they are some of my favorites. She also features sparkles for the eye!

I love Bubbles.

Bubbles Clawtooth, of the Tableau Clawtooths aka Clawtooth by Clawtooth, has made yummy hairs this year, many of them with a vintage origin. The French Connection is tres chic, and very nautical at the same time oh la ahoy, viva la resistance! The beret is texture change which gives you tons of options, and really hugs your head well accenting your bangs/fringe. Other designs from Clawtooth this year are RockinRolls, a fun victory roll hair, follow up another victory roll hair he did awhile back. I love it. My Shilova is a chic short hair that I think can go from casual to evening wear. It’s very 1930’s, yet very contemporary. You’re A Star, is exactly old Hollywood glamour, it begs for a satin gown, and a tiered fur stole with tails. Turnip Sorbet is Clawtooth’s charity hair, its very waif like, adorable, and versatile. I loved the possibilities insinuated by this hair so I paired it with a navy peacoat from en Svale, and headed over to Mystic to take shadow photos. They were quite fail for me, but luckily Sasy is better then me at it, and took these for me. I’m also wearing a blue strip turtleneck from Coco, I love the effect of the sculpted bottom portion, specially with this shorter peacoat. I have absolutely no idea whose shorts I am wearing, and my apologies to the creator. I am usually able to recall such things easily, and didnt make notes at the time this photo was taken, 1 free item from my store to the first person who accurately names it, and it appears in my inventory. I am afraid it’s the same with the makeup version of this Chaisuki skin, you will have to try on demos to find it, it’s most likely in the Vienna line, peach tone, as I have been wearing those alot lately.

Lush & Structure

Amacci just released this beautiful hair base with hair knot and three styles. I really love the form of the hair knot, specially with it little whisps coming out of the bottom. The three hair styles are Lara, Lena, and Liana. All lovely ponytails each sporting a different bang/fringe, that with the hair bases, really create a natural hairline. Shown here are Lara in Brown Sugar, Lena in Henna, and Liana in Swedish Blonde. All other hair bases, with hair knot shown in Brown Auburn, my favorite red there.

I was in the mood for purple today and it had needed to be luscious shade, so I chose Je*Republic’s jacket called Tartanism. It features sculpted collar, cuffs, belt, and lower half. The plaid itself is well done, and it comes in a variety of colors, I went with Blue Violet. I paired it with the shorts and socks from DeLa’s Mirielle outfit, which have a nice finish on the seams, giving it a nice tailored looks but easy on prims as it’s all layer. I have these fun pumps from LeLutka, the word pump is a misnomer, as I find these are a great heel, rather than pump, with a fantastic mary jane look as well. I love the look of them with the stockings. I am wearing a mass of jewelry from nails with rings, and earrings from Mandala, and a coordinating necklace from Zaara. I went with Armidi’s Focsani Bag in 24k gold to pick up the gold rivets in the belt. This skin from Chaisuki has this nice smokey eye, which I accentuated with lashes from Sky Everett Designs, they were part of a free pack of them, that may still be out. Together the face has this lush look about the eye, that suits the dewy tone of the skin.

Ohmai R.icelli

I love black and white in the summer! This is fun outfit, more formal than what you think of for summer, but great for summer formal splash, which I’m attending later. R.icielli makes these great highwaist skirts, that include the belt, all modifiable for a very easy fit. This bodysuit has been available at Ohmai as a freebie for some time now. It’s all hand-drawn, with a cute prim ruffles at the shoulder. Maitreya Gold’s Aequus heels in white, with a the color changeable ankle wraps shown here in black. Accessories are easy when you dress like this keeping the shades simple. Black, and gold bangles from Armidi, paired with Septem Essentia’s Starbow black weave purse, and I am ready to mingle. I am wearing Tuli’s Sayuri skin, with Tiny Bird’s Kissy Kissy in Ginger.

Summer Outfit – Monotone

I pulled this summer look together for a day at the bunny markets, and auctions. A nice cool dressy casual look for summer. Nyte ‘n Day recently released the Pick Shirt, a nicely drawn shirt, with prim cap sleeves. It’s available in a number of colors, all of which really would have popped against the white suit, but I chose grey to pair it with my summer short suit from Aoharu in white. The jacket and shorts are matched to create a nice tailored look, with added detail of sunglasses worn in front pocket. This is also available in a number of colors.

The perfect choice of purse or handbag was LeLutka’s Calarca bag in black. The bag comes with a specific ao, and is nicely sculpted and textured. Fri.day’s dreambooties in grey were the shoe of choice for my summer dressy casual look. Armidi’s Abagail in auburn, with Tuli’s recent addition in the Jade skin line The Deck make-up, really stand out and are showcased. My furry accessories, since I wore this out to the bunny markets, is Titania, my Blanc de – Hotot breed bunny with light green, upright ears, and dusky shade from Ozimals. If you like her, I have one of her nests, a cute little bunny all your own that looks just like her available at my bunny warren.

Fierceness from Glance!

I got a big surprise from Glance when I tried on their Beyonce skin, I went from soccer mom to FIERCE. This skin is incredible. If you are looking for a mid-range tan – to light ethnic skin, this is it! I have walked around in this skin for 2 weeks now, not even wanting to share it with anyone in a blog post. You simply must grab some demos and try it out for yourself!

The makeups are all well-chosen for the skin tone. They feature cat eyes to dramatic eye shadow to natural, all with coordinating lipsticks that really play up the skin. This is my shape, the shape I wear for every post. Not even custom modded to “accommodate” the natural effect the skin would need. It’s just that yummy! When Glance does a skin, it does it in one shade…it’s a concept. I would like to see them expand that a bit tone wise…perhaps a slightly lighter and darker for each of their skins, which prominently feature a look inspired by popular celebs du jour. It wouldn’t work with all of them, but would with a few others…which I hope to blog soon as well. These alone are glorious, I can’t say enough..check out my abs, my knees, and the all over effect! Wait till you try on the demos yourself!

My favorite outfit I kept coming back to recently, was comprised of some of my favorite items in my wardrobe, and a few newly acquired items too. I’ve got my fun bridisi slacks from Gisaci, paired with this fun zebra corset, which is a new item from Dreams. Textures adding depth from my DeLa cropped jacket, to my bangles and nails from Mandala. New to my inventory is this fun hair from Xplosion, and my JazzleWorks Vajazzle! Yes, I am wearing vajazzle OVER my slacks…it’s the new black..seriously are you gonna hide all this fun away? Phaylen tp’d me to this cute little place that had them… I snagged the heart as it was perfect for over the pant look, creating a bedazzled slacks effect. DeLa, Mandala, & Zaara

Sasy and I were out shopping at the Plant & Garden Festival (runs through December 27th btw), when the time got away from us, we each teleported home to quickly dress and headed over for the taping of Fabulous Fashion last night. Having only moments to spare, and being known for taking forever to find the perfect pair of shoes with an outfit, I tricked Sasy this time and chose my shoes first, and based my outfit from there.

I chose my Pixel Mode Rhea boots, in Sky first. I love this color, and have been waiting for just the right pieces to wear with them. They come with a HUD to change the leather cord colors on the side. Which was perfect with my cosy long cardigan sweater/dress from DeLa called Lily in sky blue. I blogged this recently in black here. I love the look of the textures of the cardigan which features sculpted sleeves, belt, and a lower portion. The lower sculpted prim features sculpted pockets, and the prim comes in three sizes and is modifiable, so it gets you very close if not dead on size wise on your shape, and any adjustments are easy. The texture of the cardigan, I thought worked well with the Ishaya slacks from Zaara. They’re velour, with gold zippered pocket, that come on all layers, and feature sculpted pant parts too.

To accessorize I went with the stunningly beautiful Pearl Rain jewelry set from Mandala. The designer is kikunosuke Eel, creator of the amazingly gorgeous Tempura Island sim. Just like his work at Tempura, his jewelry is just as lush, and rich in textures, and fine details. I swear, there are not enough lindens inworld to support my incessant obsession with buying jewelry. It’s mind-blowing to consider where virtual jewelry was conceptually when I first rezzed and the skill that is now applied to jewelry today, its astounding. This particular set is available in a variety of tones, shown here in Silver. The set includes drop earrings, and necklace available in full bright option as well. Sold separately are matching bracelets.

I am wearing Armidi‘s Symphony Twist updo in Dark Auburn to show off the Pearl Rain earrings. This is such a great updo, it’s chic, perfect for formal. I had to wear another current obsession I have, Chaisuki’s lashes! I blogged them for Vanity Universe‘s Skin Fair here. These are the No. 20, which really pop when you wear them with various eye shadows, the skin shown here is blue, in the Leticia line from Redgrave.

RosyMood @ Vanity Universe Skin Fair

Rosymood has the cutest skin, I giggled when I saw it. The skin is the Yayoi, called “OMG I fell asleep directly on TATAMI”, it features a sweet natural look face with this adorably fun mark on the cheek, and comes with a posing tatami mat, and is a Skin Fair exclusive dollarbie! RosyMood has created the Yayoi Light/Red + Moles for their Skin Fair charity skin. A fresh-faced looked with vivid red lips, dark liner, and beauty marks. Both skin shown with RosyMood’s Yayoi shape also available at skin fair.

GeEs Designs – Tara (America/Australia/India)

GeEs Designs was a fabulous discovery for me at the Skin/Shape Expo a month ago. I was so overwhelmed with RL and SL stuff I didn’t even get a chance to blog them, and the photos sat on Flickr for weeks. Click here to see photos of Tara Reloaded. Vanity Universe Skin Fair opens November 7th, 2009 at 12 pm SLT, and ends November 22, 2007 at 12AM SLT. 5 days of giving towards an important cause!

If you are familiar with the Tara line you will love these. Tons more makeup in lovely shades, and 3 lovely skin tones. All 3 have beautifully done bodies. Shading and highlighting are expertly done. I didn’t find any problems with seam work, and all of them presented a unique lovely face, and overall body.

Plastik Lamb

I recently visited Plastik to pick up their Shredder dress in black, which was in the front of the store for a reduced price, and found this denim dress in brown. It was difficult to choose a color, as Plastik’s designer, Aikea Rieko, provides items in a wide variety of colors, textures, and even variations in style per item. This particular dress is available for purchase with this bodice undone as shown, or closed, both separately. I was in love with how this store has such vivid, rich, saturated tones

League’s Old Antique Brown Belted Leather Jacket was a great addition. Nena Janus is very good with the level of detail she pays to her clothing, and this jacket is a good example of it. Her distressed leather texture is rich, and finely detailed. The jacket is available in long, medium, and short (shown here), with options for slim prim sleeves, and thick ones. Included are matching gloves. Prim collar and arm belts are well constructed, and League’s items are mod, so a good fit is assured.

I spent way too much time playing in my boot folder before deciding on Maitreya’s Billow Boots in brown, the style of them balanced out the outfit. These boots are a favorite (ok yeah I know, all boots are my favorite, I love boots). Maitreya is known for their detailed textures, and good design, if you haven’t tried them before, you owe it to yourself to grab some demos. These boots are available in a variety of colors.

My hair from Lamb named Milk was picked up at the latest $50L Friday promotion is my current obsession. Available in a variety of colors, this particular one was part of the promotion which included two hairs, Black with red running through it, and this one called Pale, which made me giggle when it rezzed because of the darker roots. I have grown to like it in the past 24 hours quite a lot, and would love to see this as a permanent texture for the store its giggly awesome…along with my usual requests/pleas to designers to make a “Naturals Pack”, that includes a Black, Brown, Blonde, and Red shade. You have to admit if someone was gonna made dark roots on platinum hair, Lamb nailed it. The style itself is very lovely, a small braid across the top, and it’s a long hair style, and Lamb has done it all prim, so its static, but it IS mod so you can adjust it easily.

Accessories I am wearing are Armidi’s Niama Necklace, which is a nice full necklace, tons of prim work here shown in White Gold. Armidi has excellent jewelry textures, their gold not being yellow or too brassy. I also used part of another purchase I made at Plastik, from their Infinity Dress, the leg strings. These are great as they are on the sock layer, and no extra prims to even think about modding.

Tuli has been sidelined by Real Life at the moment, leaving us all in great suspense for her Bella skin. This I have from the Skin/Shape Expo earlier this month. Roller Baby

Sasy Scarborough and I were out shopping, when I got a notice about Pixel Mode‘s latest release–Roxy Rollers! Yes, beautifully done Roller Skates, old school style! I immediately gushed to Sasy, and we dropped everything and high tailed it over. The designer Tya Fallingbridge, was skating around the store, and it was a delight to get to see these first hand before trying on a demo. Having always wanted to be a roller derby queen since childhood, these were NOT a hard sell on me, I snagged them before they rezzed. They come with Black and White skates included, texture changeable wheels, and stoppers in Candy Red, Bubblegum, Neon Pink, Lemon, Violet, Indigo and Teal. The laces are tint changeable to match. The shoes come with a skating animation that is great! I am in heaven! Men’s Skates are planned too, so check back for those!

I paired them with this amazing short dress called Six Underground from Miseria. It’s available in several colors, shown here in violet, with this great graphic design on them. Great thought was put into this off shoulder dress, with the side pushed just so up. Incorporated into this top are two straps to enhance the layered look to perfection. I added my Armidi Denim Cotton Jumpsuit top on the shirt layer to add a extra strap at the top, for an added layer effect.

I added my glitter/sparkle stockings from Bijou in purple for extra pizazz, and bangles! Aphrodite Creations has a nice thick bangle simply called Big Bangle in purple, and Zaara‘s Melange bangles in purple with multiple bangles all in one.

I’m wearing the new skin release from Idiosycrasy, Model Iridescent, in the Tan skin tone. I love this skin, the lips are juicy, the make up variations are fun, this particular one has the perfect bright pinkish tones that worked so well with this. I have been pleased with this skin as it transitions well from skins I wear from Redgrave, to League. I love the nose its beautiful. I am wearing Maitreya‘s Zoe, a new one, in Ginger. It’s a soft, pulled back look with a very nice pile of hair in the back, and lovely whisps here and there.

Girls on Film

Sasy Scarborough, Arabella Steadham, and I were having a bit of fun in our Miel. Arabella had these lovely boots, and Sasy had to have them, and after checking out the demos very carefully, I got them too. I have this thing about shoes, I prefer my shoes esthetically to have a pointed toe. It’s a funny thing about me. After looking them over carefully and determining that the texture change was a real texture change and not a tint, I got them. Whimsy can’t see tints, shes color blind like that inworld. We all have recently binged at Miel and dove right into our Miel folders. Miel is a lovely little store new to the grid, they are turning out clothes left and right to appease their new following. I love their muted palette, and their sophisticated styling and their detail to textures. Their sculpted prim usage is good, they work very well to give you an extra dimension to your clothing. Their prices can’t be beat, and I believe they still have a store gift if you join their som inworld. I’m wearing their Bo shirt, its a lovely tank in this great espresso color, with a prim collar, the back has lovely detail giving added interest in the back since we have to look at our backs so much.

While Arabella wore the Hi Bar Tank, which I feel is really more of a tank dress, as a dress, I wore the pant layer and skirt prim as a skirt. This dress I love with the swatches of color, and pixel dot graphic I think its a modern chic look. For a bit of color I chose my favorite color to mix with brown ..turquoise. I have these plaid stockings from Nyte ‘n Day that were part of a join design project between Nyte ‘n Day and Luminosity in Fall of 2006. I admired these for a long time until I made my way in SL and was able to purchase them, so this outfit is a fond one for me. These boots are from Kitheres, totally scripted goodies and texture changable and resizable!

My hair is new from Diversity and available at Hair Fair 2009 called Daphne in Tootsie Brown. I have loved my skins from Rockberry, and went with a skin gift they recently offered. More information about Hair Fair.
