Drift recently released this mesh dress called Mutiara.  It’s available in a vareity color sbut I really liked this mocha color specially with black accessories like my Geisha Leather Belt from Fishy Strawberry.  I almost went with a pair of black gloves but I can’t part with my mesh hands from SLink just yet.  I’m wearing the elegant set, which works beautifully with accessories like my clutch from DeLa, and my Kashiti Bobble Ring from Zaara.  I’m wearing a new hair from Wasabi Pills that’s currently available at The Costume Ball.  It’s a lovely sweet hair style, with ribbon, very Alice -like.  I’m wearing Amacci’s Hazel skin, this particular one has really pretty makeup, but I left my lips bare, as I love the base lip colors.

June in Zuma Hills

I’m wearing a mesh dress from Celoe, which is available at Culture Shock 2012.  It’s a lovely mesh frock available in a number of fashionable trendy colors. I particularly like the silkiness of the fabric, and the lovely gathered bodice. I’m wearing Adam n Eve‘s Amaris skin, in natural with the provided small freckles optional layer. and SLink‘s Sarah hair in caramel, another mesh item.  I have contrasted against the turquoise shade with accessories with warmer tones, like Zaara‘s Balini Necklace in Carnelian-Cyan, her Kashiti Bobble ring, and clutch purse from DeLa in Orange, Ison‘s color block pumps in a warm cognac, and Izzie’s latest release – Spring/Summer 2012 Classic Nails in Tangerine.  Izzie’s is also participating in culture shock, check out her booth there, to see cute tri-color tops she has.

June

I am so over the moon with these nails, as I was having a problem finding just the right shade of nails to compliment and contrast with much of my newer purchases this season, so I approached Izzie Button to consider adding them. They are exactly what I was looking for! I’m completely excited about fashion this year do to the plentiful offerings by many designers featuring the 2012 Pantone color trends.  Seriously I am in heaven, and never have been more excited to hit the stores, and get dressed.  They have me happily wearing orange.  I’m in shock.

My location photo was taken just outside the Zuma Hills prefab from Trompe Loeil available at Culture Shock 2012, This modern, open plan home is made of mesh, and features a lovely pool, many built in features like fireplaces, art, kitchen, lighting, and cypress outside the front entrance. Also shown in my photo are Trompe Loeil’s Zuma Hills barstools in the kitchen area, and couch, chairs, and plants in the living room area.  I’ve used aDORKable poses for this pose, but not the specific ones they have available at Culture Shock, I plan on using these for another post, be sure to check out their booth there.

Alphabet Challenge-D

Alphabet Blog Challenge-D

With letter D in Willow Zander’s Alphabet Challenge I resorted to pulling out some favorite items that have been in my inventory at least a year.  My first thought was hair from Dernier Cri, check out this favorite circa Hair Fair 2010.  I couldn’t resist using Digit Darkes, whose letter D became logos for her store. She may be gone, but she’s still a favorite in my closet especially her slip dresses…worn here as a shirt, under this cute chocolate houndstooth jacket from DeeTaleZ, with my Marni skirt from DeLa. I frothed a bit at the mouth when fri.day released their Dream Catcher bags, love getting to wear them out and about.

RedMint HF2011 A

(Red)Mint released three hairstyles at Hair Fair 1011.  I really like their hair textures, and found their satin blond to be my favorite.  With this outfit I’m wearing Hair No. 09 in black, I loved the flow, and messy look.  My outfit’s ‘base” is the Chic Bodysuit from Nemesis.  I love the top of the suit with the prim sleeves, and the urban skyline graphic on the torso.  I paired it with the skirt from IT Dress from Ladies Who Lunch which is a fun feathered skirt.  I’ve accessorized with League’s Raven Necklace,  fun eyelashes from Sky Everett Designs, and a cool drummer’s case from Sey.  The stockings from artilleri’s Naughty or Nice outfit are perfect for this.

Hair Fair 2011 – Shagtastic

4th of July Bombshell
I put this outfit together a while ago, but recently updated it with Sway’s beach bag.  I’m wearing skin and eye gifts available from Ploom and Digital Eyes at Hair Fair.  Shag has released two women’s styles at Hair Fair 2011, this one is Bombshell, which I love! It’s a great layered angled bob. Super tousled, good structure.  I’m also wearing a release from the beginning of summer from DeLa, a cute open cardigan, with color change buttons, over a great one piece dress from E! in navy.  These shoes from Slink are a dream to tint, and fun to wear.  While at the fair I noticed this jewelry set in an ad for hair at SugarsmacK, and rushed right over to get it at Indy&Co.   It’s available in a variety of colors, and features the necklace and earrings to match.

Shag Ingenue
This dress was a surprise to find at Nylon Outfitters, I totally didn’t expect to find it, as I usually associate them with more casual wear.  It’s cute, and totally ready for a party, which I thought was perfect with Shag’s other women’s hair from Hair Fair. I feel somewhere in between Holly Golightly and Romy and Michel.  I love the height of it, and that it stills is long.

Vanity Universe Skin Fair 2011 – Tuli (Zoe)

Vanity Universe Skin Fair 2011

Tuli - Zoe

Tuli will be at Vanity Universe’s Skin Fair, showing off her latest endeavor–Zoe.  For those who love the layer possibilities of newer 2.0 based viewers, Zoe is a delight!  A skin pack contains a skin tone that is comprised of six skins, these six differ each having it’s own eye makeup shown here with no prim lashes worn. They are full skins, meaning on the skin layer.

cats

The packs contain multiple layers to customize your look,   seven brows; black, bleached, blonde, carrot, copper, honey, light brown, and red.  In addition to these, she includes twelve lip shades in Amethyst, cherry, coral, kiss, lilac, magenta, nude, peach, raspberry, ruin, and terra, and eyebrow shaper, and a shape!  Of course Tuli threw in some cleavage layers too, she’s always kind to the cleavage!

DeLabel

Throwing in a style post I just couldn’t wait for. L’ Abel has this super awesome sequin capri with the cutest ruffles at the knee. I mixed Coco’s Bow Shirt I picked up recently, and I love the effect of both of them. I was so close to accessorizing this with bright red, but I felt that was too predictable and went with a bubble gum pink accessories from DeLa.

*****Please remember this is a FAIR, just like in REAL LIFE there will be lots of people there.  Mind your manners, and please try to not “wear blings, scripted hair, scripted shoes, scripted or sculpty attachments, animation overrides (AO´s), sensor HUDs, mystitools, anti spy shields, or other HUDs.”  The general idea is to go low script, even if you turn off the scripts, but still wear the device, the item is in passive listening mode and still counts, please remove. This is for you to see the latest from many designers, and not show off that awesome 2700 prim scripted avatar you just bought.  Having said this, please remember while it might be rude to wear all this to the fair, it’s just as rude to turn into a screaming harridan yelling about people’s avatar rendering costs, ao’s, etc.  Just turn off the people and shop! Ctrl alt shift 4 turns off people, doing it again will turn them back on.  It’s also nice for cutting some lag (client side).

I couldn’t do a series on my favorite jeans, without covering some of my favorite denim skirts.  I have consolidated all of these together in one post featuring the same tops, and accessories.   This is a very fun, casual look.  The sculpted Aoharu denim shirt is worn over my Bandana dress from Tuli, that is getting double duty as a halter.  The Aoharu shirt comes with the belt, but I am also wearing another belt from DeLa’s Daisy skirt, which I think plays up my bracelets from YourShape.  Together they suit the Bandana print, with the denim.  My boots are Bax’s prestige boots in red,  they come with variations in shade, boot cuff, metal finishing.  I love to wear them with denim, and have blogged them previously with them.

The skirts are from a wide variety of stores, BettePage, LeLutka, Maitreya, Muism, and Emery.   The angled skirt is Muisms, and comes in this longer style, and straight across shorter length.  I love the movement on it.  LeLutkas has a lot of structure to it without sculpts.  I love the denim textures, and the length.  Maitreya, and Emery’s both feature sculpted skirt parts, short in length and good distressed denim look.   BettePage’s is another midlength with good movement, and distressing.   I am wearing Tuli’s Gina skin from a previous run at The Dressing Room, and my hair is a new release from Mirai Style.  She’s has 3 new hairs in the front of the store,  I have no idea when they were released but they still say NEW.  ;P    To see which skirt is which, click through to my flickr photo, and hover your mouse over the image to see the name of the stores.

In The Waiting Line

Twisted & Spoiled’s Jeans are part of series of posts I’m doing featuring some of my favorite jeans.  I acquired these over the summer, and love them to death. I bought the fat-pack which included 12 colors, from true blue seen in my composite shot, to pink! Included are two types of jean prims, baggy and boot cut, nicely sculpted they give it a nice finish. The shading, and hems/seams are done well, and well worth adding to your inventory.

In The Waiting Line

I paired my jeans with my shear-ling coat from DeLa in beige.  Dela make these in a short and longer version, I’m wearing the longer version called Jona.  Sculpted, with good texture, I love the fullness of this!  Underneath I have on two more shirts from Twisted and Spoiled, the feisty shirt in a rich chocolate, which comes with sculpted prim cuffs, and collar.  Available in a wide variety of colors, as well as the Vest I am wearing, which is more like a longer ribbed tank. My jewelry is from Miel, who have been slick enough to put out jewelry for $50L Friday events for some time now, yet rarely after that is it in store to buy.  All their jewelry is delicious enough that I am ready to start a petition to make them carry it at full price in the store afterward. If you agree it also, please send them a nc requesting this. This set’s called Ahi, it’s simple, it’s elegant, and unique. My other accessories are Casa del Shai’s Lizard Boots in brown, and Mandala’s Saicho belt in brown.  My skin is a new release at The Dressing Room by Tuli called Gina 06, and has this lovely adoration by the left eye. She’s released several there over the course of it, so it’s becoming a nice collection.  Soft makeups, dewy skin, the look classic, everyday, fresh.

In The Waiting Line

My hair gets it’s own paragraph…it’s awesome.  It’s from Ploom, and if you hadn’t heard already Ploom’s designer is Helyanwe Vindaloo of Deviant Kitties.  She’s branched out into this new store of amazing hair, and some nice skins…Sasy talks about them here, and some of her other hairstyles too.  I loved this one called Iris.  This style comes with a hud to change the streak of color in the hair, the hair shade itself is Auburn. I love its form, and that’s one thing that caught my eye when I visited Ploom for the first time.  I snagged quite a few hairs, and can’t wait to go back!

Lush & Structure

Amacci Hair

Amacci just released this beautiful hair base with hair knot and three styles.  I really love the form of the hair knot, specially with it little whisps coming out of the bottom.  The three hair styles are Lara, Lena, and Liana.  All lovely ponytails each sporting a different bang/fringe, that with the hair bases, really create a natural hairline.  Shown here are Lara in Brown Sugar, Lena in Henna, and Liana in Swedish Blonde.  All other hair bases, with hair knot shown in Brown Auburn, my favorite red there.

JE Republic Composite

I was in the mood for purple today and it had needed to be luscious shade, so I chose Je*Republic’s  jacket called Tartanism.  It features sculpted collar, cuffs, belt, and lower half. The plaid itself is well done, and it comes in a variety of colors, I went with Blue Violet.  I paired it with the shorts and socks from DeLa’s Mirielle outfit, which have a nice finish on the seams, giving it a nice tailored looks but easy on prims as it’s all layer.  I have these fun pumps from LeLutka, the word pump is a misnomer, as I find these are a great heel, rather than pump, with a fantastic mary jane look as well. I love the look of them with the stockings.  I am wearing a mass of jewelry from nails with rings, and earrings from Mandala, and a coordinating necklace from Zaara.  I went with Armidi’s Focsani Bag in 24k gold to pick up the gold rivets in the belt.  This skin from Chaisuki has this nice smokey eye, which I accentuated with lashes from Sky Everett Designs,  they were part of a free pack of them, that may still be out.  Together the face has this lush look about the eye, that suits the dewy tone of the skin.

Fierceness from Glance!

Glance - Beyonce

I got a big surprise from Glance when I tried on their Beyonce skin, I went from soccer mom to FIERCE.  This skin is incredible.  If you are looking for a mid-range tan – to light ethnic skin, this is it!  I have walked around in this skin for 2 weeks now, not even wanting to share it with anyone in a blog post.  You simply must grab some demos and try it out for yourself!

Glance - Beyonce - Makeup Range

The makeups are all well-chosen for the skin tone.  They feature cat eyes to dramatic eye shadow to natural, all with coordinating lipsticks that really play up the skin.  This is my shape, the shape I wear for every post.  Not even custom modded to “accommodate” the natural effect the skin would need. It’s just that yummy!   When Glance does a skin, it does it in one shade…it’s a concept.  I would like to see them expand that a bit tone wise…perhaps a slightly lighter and darker for each of their skins, which prominently feature a look inspired by popular celebs du jour.  It wouldn’t work with all of them, but would with a few others…which I hope to blog soon as well.  These alone are glorious,  I can’t say enough..check out my abs, my knees, and the all over effect!  Wait till you try on the demos yourself!

Glance - Beyonce - Full Body

My favorite outfit I kept coming back to recently, was comprised of some of my favorite items in my wardrobe, and a few newly acquired items too.  I’ve got my fun bridisi slacks from Gisaci, paired with this fun zebra corset, which is a new item from Dreams.  Textures adding depth from my DeLa cropped jacket, to my bangles and nails from Mandala.  New to my inventory is this fun hair from Xplosion, and my JazzleWorks Vajazzle!  Yes, I am wearing vajazzle OVER my slacks…it’s the new black..seriously are you gonna hide all this fun away?  Phaylen tp’d me to this cute little place that had them… I snagged the heart as it was perfect for over the pant look, creating a bedazzled slacks effect.   My lingerie photos feature hair by fri.day, and lingerie by Glam Affair (formerly Beauty Avatar).

DeLa, Mandala, & Zaara

Sasy and I were out shopping at the Plant & Garden Festival (runs through December 27th btw), when the time got away from us, we each teleported home to quickly dress and headed over for the taping of Fabulous Fashion last night. Having only moments to spare, and being known for taking forever to find the perfect pair of shoes with an outfit, I tricked Sasy this time and chose my shoes first, and based my outfit from there.

DeLa - Zaara - Mandala

I chose my Pixel Mode Rhea boots, in Sky first.  I love this color, and have been waiting for just the right pieces to wear with them.  They come with a HUD to change the leather cord colors on the side.  Which was perfect with my cosy long cardigan sweater/dress from DeLa called Lily in sky blue.  I blogged this recently in black here.  I love the look of the textures of the cardigan which features sculpted sleeves, belt, and a lower portion.  The lower sculpted prim features sculpted pockets, and the prim comes in three sizes and is modifiable, so it gets you very close if not dead on size wise on your shape, and any adjustments are easy.  The texture of the cardigan, I thought worked well with the Ishaya slacks from Zaara.  They’re velour, with gold zippered pocket, that come on all layers, and feature sculpted pant parts too.

To accessorize I went with the stunningly beautiful Pearl Rain jewelry set from Mandala.  The designer is kikunosuke Eel, creator of the amazingly gorgeous Tempura Island sim.  Just like his work at Tempura, his jewelry is just as lush, and rich in textures, and fine details.  I swear, there are not enough lindens inworld to support my incessant obsession with buying jewelry.   It’s mind-blowing to consider where virtual jewelry was conceptually when I first rezzed and the skill that is now applied to jewelry today, its astounding.  This particular set is available in a variety of tones, shown here in Silver.  The set includes drop earrings, and necklace available in full bright option as well.  Sold separately are matching bracelets.

I am wearing Armidi‘s Symphony Twist updo in Dark Auburn to show off the Pearl Rain earrings.  This is such a great updo, it’s chic, perfect for formal.   I had to wear another current obsession I have, Chaisuki’s lashes!  I blogged them for Vanity Universe‘s Skin Fair here.  These are the No. 20, which really pop when you wear them with various eye shadows, the skin shown here is blue, in the Leticia line from Redgrave.

GeEs Designs – Marlin Drow

I don’t know what it is about drow skins but they drive me mad in a good way.  I don’t get the opportunity to be a drow inworld, unless I get lucky and hit a stash of drow skins.  GeEs Designs has drow skins at their booth at Vanity Universe Skin Fair.  Maybe its the they are so sophisticated looking reminiscent of the luminous quality of old black and white films, that appeals to me or the edgy, look of the fully dressed drow.

GeEs Designs has included a range of makeups, and even tattoos on face and cleavage.  These are a lovely medium dark tone, which I wore with my The Body Politik elf ears, which are menu color changeable worn in Dark Drow.

Shown here center with TheAbyss Pruriency Corset in black, DeLa’s Briana boots in black, and the flexi skirt from Adam N Eve’s Fae Woodland dress in black.  On either side I’m wearing Adam N Eve’s Leopard Snow Lingerie.  Hair is from Bijou called Dita III, in Monotone 3.

Even though its grey in tone, the luminous highlights show through, body nicely defined.  The range of makeups also feature some on face tattoos, and additional skins with matching tattoos on cleavage.

I took advantage of being dressed for this to head over to my stores main location at Oubliette.  It’s a wonderland of nature currently Autumn themed.  My only destination there dressed as a drow could be our cave system in the South Eastern quadrant for some location shots to test the skin in the proper drow environment.
