I have been slowly accessorizing and playing with different tops for this outfit for weeks, trying out different boots, hair, tops. I finally settled on J’s latest release of their Cowgirl Boots2. I love these boots in this red, but I snagged the fat pack. These are classics! The fringe is flexi, and has great movement. I’m wearing the latest from Tres Blah, this lovely peasant top, with embroidery. If you like it it’s also available as a dress at the store. By chance I was already planning this outfit with Tres Blah’s denim cut offs, which are layer only, and I like that about this style. My skin is by Felicity Blumenthal, made specially for Another Fundraiser II called Ginger Skin. Only $50L with 100% proceeds going to Red Cross (for Japan). My purse is from Addict and also benefits Japan, with proceeds going to no kill animal shelters in Japan. The Fur Japan event started last night, and is jam-packed with items! I picked up three great houses there. My hair, Tempest, is from Exile, and I am in love with the length, and soft flex. My jewelry is from Mood, called Bandara, in silver with turquoise which match my turquoise eyes from Amacci.
I discovered these post processing effects in the Singularity viewer, and was curious to see the effect inworld. Sometimes you just want to cut the post processing time down, or take snapshot. This is a great, and I hope they further develop it. I would like to see the Gaussian Blur effect lightened, and think it would be great to incorporate shadow/highlighted borders too. To access them 1. log into Singularity, 2. on your top tool bar World – Environment Settings – Post Process Effects. I have made photos demonstrating each of the effects. Color Filter let you play further with Gamma, and Brightness. I loved being able to change the Saturation while retaining any windlight settings I have on. Contrast is really nice addition as well. The Gaussian Blur is great in thought but the effect even at level 1 on the slider is too strong for portraits. Night vision is way cool! I like that you can also create an effect, and save it. It’s really easy to use. To see the effects, click the Enable box, play with the sliders. The tabs stack so if you want one more than one tabs setting, leave enable on. Check out the photos.
So what I love about Hair Fair, is its so very much an exposition. Consider the Worlds Fair, or your State/County Fair, the best get to go, and each show off their latest talents, and innovations in products. We’ve seen some amazing concept hair aka avant garde, we have seen some amazing designs that we haven’t seen inworld yet. Some cover the needs of high fashion, or alternative sub sects of style, or even the most basic of needs…like Scribble’s Cleaning Day. You might already be familiar with their braided crown hair, but Scribble is new to me hair wise as I am always ways paying attention to the clothes in their store when I go. Designer, Radio Signals has created 5 styles showcased at Hair Fair 2010. The hairstyle Scribble chose for Wigs For Kids, is called Saturday Morning, this cute short pigtail styles. Everyday casual, and one that would be adorable on a child. Also released are two sideswept styles, an updo, and my favorite Cleaning Day. Cleaning Day features this adorable kerchief, the pattern of the fabric is this lovely dark red with paisleys. It’s just what I always wanted.
I couldn’t wait to wear it with my Sianita dress from Reale, I have it in this pretty denim/yellow print, but am wearing the dark denim/pink version for this post. Reale has a knack with the dresses they make, always a favorite in my wardrobe. I last wore their tulip dress to an Oscar party. This dress is a fun, casual denim babydoll, with hints of retro/vintage with it’s prints, and rick rack. I kept it casual yet nice with my Nantucket Spectators from Surf Couture in Red, and a Hobo Bag from Celestial Studios. My skin choice was Laqroki’s Alice, a nice dewy skin. I pulled out some cute jewelry from Luc, to keep the casual look going. My poses are from Olive Juice, and so cute.

This evening I will be attending the LIVE Virtual Oscars Pre-Show, which made me wonder…what would Whimsy wear to the Oscars. One has to carefully plan these things out. One needs to consider what role they are to play in the evening. Whimsy is an ‘It Girl’. I’ve not produced, written, or starred in anything, or presenting, so the dress while chic shouldn’t overshadow anyone nominated for an award. So as an ‘It Girl’ attending, I’m required to show up, look pretty, and act pleasant. Pretty simple. Maybe. One has to consider the venue. I will walk the red carpet, it’s a formal event. Red, Black, and White will be colors people gravitate to because of the events nature. I will leave that to others. I could go for russet, but it looks wrong in the winter/spring. Greens, are a go, but not for me today. Swan feathers, and avant-garde have already been done. It was a tough call but I went with spring as a theme. I narrowed it down to two dresses. Both flowered in theme- one avant-garde, one classic. I chose this one, classic, for the Oscars, as I didn’t want to be THAT girl in the avant-garde flower dress. Not today. That dress I will save for another event I want to stand out in. Tonight I shall blend and enjoy the evening.
