The Back To Black Event 2012 – Strength

The Back To Black event starts February 11th through February 29th and is brought to you by Chic Management.  This event is to promote mental health awareness and is themed around inspirational themes; like Love, Strength, Family, Friendship, etc.  I chose two items from Strength for this post, perception is that you either have it or don’t.  The truth is you cultivate it, and exercise it like a muscle, it’s something you’ve had all along.

Back to Black - Yoga - Izzie's

Izzie’s has made these cute leisure sets that come in three colors, with choice of coordinating drawstring cording. I like how comfortable they look, specially while doing some yoga.   Elefantu‘s Yoga Studio is a fun item featured.  It’s a full yoga studio, that comes with a surround sphere so you get the full effect of being out and about at the studio. It’s decorated with yoga mats for you and your yoga buddies, relaxing candles, water cooler, and other decor. Each yoga mat comes with menu driven yoga animations.

For this post I am also wearing new hair from Ploom, and new skin from Adam n Eve.  I love this long pony tail, and how it’s divided over the shoulder and down the back.  Amaris is a beautiful skin I plan to show more indepth in another post.  I went with a natural look for this with the Fraiche.  Included are matching manicures and pedicures on layers, chest enhancers and ‘dehancers’, hair bases in Black, Brown, Pale Blond, and Red. Freckles, and eyebrows in Blond, Brown and Red.

Road Trip

So while having an incredibly crazy dream that Sasy, Ashia and I were on a road trip one thing stuck out.  Ashia demanding that I wear cream.  I remember looking at the outfit she’d picked out, the pants were a very tailored corduroy, and more a light banana creme.  When I woke up and logged in I knew I had to wear these great mesh pants from SLink.   Gawk! just released shaded long pull overs in a range of colors, worn here is brown. I have mine tucked in, but you can wear it over and longer.  I love my mon tissu Seneca Threaded Leather Belt, it’s available in eight colors, and lots of variations in brown to get it just right.  Maitreya‘s latest release are mesh ankle boots called Devi.  They look great, and are available in eleven colors.  My hair is also a mesh goody from Wasabi Pills, I love this hair style.  The soft thick braids up front, and long and loose in the back, with trendy 2012 bangs. The mesh moves with you really doing this style justice. I’m wearing eyes and skin from Amacci.  I like that my lipstick is this deep red soft shade that goes perfectly with my Mandala nails, and picks up the red in my shoes, and the the red tones in my belt and bag. My bag is another mesh item, that moves with the body, from Celoe, also available in a selection of colors.

Le Dinner Guest

Recently I was invited over to Sasy’s for dinner.  I threw on a cocktail dress from Connors, added two, yes, two sets of false eyelashes for drama, and bundled up in my Harris Tweed Coat from S H I.  I love this coat, so warm, and very chic.  I also love my concave cut from SLink, it’s beautiful, sleek, and perfect all the way around.

Sugarsmack & Mimikri

Sugarsmack Mimikri

I love tunics, but when I saw the shades of purple on this one from Mimikri, I knew this Zaara skirt would work with it well, and decided to mod it shorter to a top.  I love that the colors from my Salience Socks & tights from Shoe Fair 2011 were perfect. This variation Maitreya did on Salience really added a fun element to already cute shoes.  I got to know Sugarsmack hair from Hair Fair 2011, and fell in love.  Shown here is Lorne, in Coco Pudding.  I love the shape of the hair, the whispy bits that move, and the lovely braid across the forehead.

I recently assembled this party attire for a celebration.  I wanted something somewhat youthful, fun, and full of life, and I think this dress from Mimikri was perfect.  I love that my favorite pair of heels from LeLutka in Soft Blush were a perfect match.  I went with League’s Raven Necklace for jewelry, I really love this piece as it reminds me of a pair of antique earrings I want in real life.

Warm Fall Day

Warm Fall Day
Today was a warm fall day, but it’s not uncommon for me as I RL live in Florida.  The first day of October actually brought cooler weather, it was 80 °F (26.67 °C), but it made me want to be outside.  I’ve put together some of my favorite items of LeLutka‘s summer releases, along with the new Astrid ankle boots from SLink.  I really like the SoHo shorts, sculpted loveliness, along with the sculpted Cute Top.  Jolie is also a new hair from LeLutka, it has a second attachment that extends it further down the back. SLink‘s mesh Astrid ankle boots are the yum!  I have the all colors, so via hud I have this amazing range of colors to help customize looks.  Sixteen base colors, with the same sixteen for the woven fronts in easy to coordinate colors.  Also shown here is this cute unisex holdall bag from Tee*fy currently available at The Dressing Room.

Alphabet Challenge-E

Alphabet Blog Challenge-E

Letter E in Willow Zander’s Alphabet Challenge was a challenge! I spent a great deal of time working out various looks with shoes that had an E.  Getting the right combination was finally solved when I settled on starting with En Svale‘s Cowichan sweater, and based my look from there.  That settled it was fun to use many items I had tucked away, like these earmuffs from artilleri, and this knit hat from epoque. I love this bag from Tokidoki and would love to have it in real life. My skin is Eva from Tuli, and worn with eye-makeup from ElymodeElikatira‘s secret boots were perfect, and felt I needed to add some socks from League in ecru, as my legs looked cold in my denim skirt from Emery with out them.

Alphabet Challenge-D

Alphabet Blog Challenge-D

With letter D in Willow Zander’s Alphabet Challenge I resorted to pulling out some favorite items that have been in my inventory at least a year.  My first thought was hair from Dernier Cri, check out this favorite circa Hair Fair 2010.  I couldn’t resist using Digit Darkes, whose letter D became logos for her store. She may be gone, but she’s still a favorite in my closet especially her slip dresses…worn here as a shirt, under this cute chocolate houndstooth jacket from DeeTaleZ, with my Marni skirt from DeLa. I frothed a bit at the mouth when fri.day released their Dream Catcher bags, love getting to wear them out and about.

Alphabet Challenge-C

Alphabet Blog Challenge-C

Letter C in Willow Zander’s Alphabet Challenge made me mixing and matching from a variety of stores. It took awhile but I am happy with my outfit. I used part of one of my favorite outfits from Last Call…Compliquee’s layered knit tank, under a store gift Hawaiian print shirt from Connors.  I continued the casual theme with Chinos from Maitreya, and Surf Co. wedges. I took liberties with the letter C by wearing a skin from a Chic event from Laura Hurley.  I love this casual look, and had fun putting it together.

Alphabet Blog Challenge-B

Letter B in Willow Zander’s Alphabet Challenge was fun.  I had fun and used a number of B stores with my Bloom avatar.  Blue Galaxy‘s Stereo hair was a fun choice, I pulled in some color with my Array leggings from Bijou, and Suede Bootie from Coco in this bright purple. Dress it up with a fun sleeveless jacket from Baiastice over my Boom polo dress, and giant black gems from Ganked.

September Breeze

dress 3-vert

Sasy and I went exploring at a place she found. Bahia features prefabs, home decor, and furniture, across two lovely sims.  Worth checking out. Sasy blogged them here.  On our trip I wore this great long knit mesh dress from Jane, that I totally love cause its long, and in mesh it’s so fab.  Looking for a pain free transition to mesh?  Try the Firestorm 3.0.1  (Firestorm-Beta-Mesh).  I’ve been using it on the Phoenix setting, and love it to date. Similar layout to V1, layers of V2 and similar icon’d buttons, V3 mesh.
